It was released digitally by the band in October 2007.

Just like In Rainbows was released digitally in October 2007 but physically released in 2008.

Just like For Emma, Forever Ago was self-released in 2007 but re-released on Jagjaguwar in 2008.

Initial release date is all that matters.

Merry Christmas!

yeah, i was a tad confused on why some year-end best-of lists featured bon iver, but not others.

Bon Iver was a hard copy release in 2007.

And I had my hard copy of In Rainbows in 2007 as well.

I counted Beth Gibbons's solo album on my 2002 list because it came out in the UK in October 2002, and I had my copy imported. Yet the album made it on a lot of critics' 2003 lists because it didn't show up in the States until October the following year.

Initial release date is all that matters.

Album i'm just discovering: Fleet Foxes (self titled)

amazing harmonies. might put some of you heavier kids to sleep, but it's like a laid back beach boys for the mountains, lots of vocal harmonies.. most percussion is in the background, or isn't kit based in some instances.

also, i'm aware that it's likely this band has come up in this thread before. but i'm posting about it anyway. I'd suggest for listening checking out

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=403814244

and clicking on the song "He Doesn't Know Why."

lots of reverb on the vocals. you'll notice the production style from bands like my morning jacket (as far as vocals go).

^^^^^^ I would love to have that in something other than a 118 minute continuous file. Still awesome though (used to be waaay too into Adult Swim)
