^^ i thought the exact same thing, "just pull the damn blanket over you."But I think ^ is right, it was actually hot enough to burn through their jackets.

I'm curious how ordinary clothes somehow become different when a vampire wears them. Seems like a dumb concept to me.Did anyone else find it highly unusual that Luna just flipped a switch and turned into crazy bitch mode on Sam? Sam had just more or less sacrificed his life to protect Luna and her child and then she goes on that crazy rant and tells him to fuck off.
6/18/2012 4:54:36 PM
Yeah, definitely. He just got tortured for her and her kid and she knows it. Ingrate.
6/18/2012 4:57:24 PM
^^ yeah, the way she freaked out seemed really out of the blue and annoyed me bit. Same goes with Sam not budging and just saying "you're right, she's your daughter and not mine." Does he really think that they're relationship is at a point that he gets "a say in the matter" of her daughter? Sam usually knows his place in that regard.it's certainly not a big deal. But it did stand out a bit to me too.

Is it consensus that Lilith was always a vampyr? Or was that just a twist the writers threw into the show? I don't remember the lilith story going that way...
6/19/2012 12:15:44 PM
She's one of the theories of the first vampire from what I always remembered of vampire lore.
6/19/2012 12:44:47 PM
I think there are a lot of different myths surrounding Lilith. Some have her becoming a vampire, others have her always being a vampire. In quite a few she's not a vampire at all, but a demon. In others, she's Adam's first wife, before Eve, and not a demon at all. I do think it's an interesting version of the story though.^As she says, Lilith is usually known, in vampire stories, as the Mother of all Vampires.[Edited on June 19, 2012 at 12:51 PM. Reason : ]

In case any of you were wondering if this was a show for girls, they just tied in the namesake of Lillith Fair.

super gay vampire russell edginton used to be my favorite character but i'm not so sure he'll be as "witty" as much as he is "bitey" when he fucks shit up nowconveniently, super gay vampire reverend newell is now my favorite character
6/19/2012 8:46:42 PM
Maybe Edgerton and Newell will get together and start a wedding planning company.
6/19/2012 9:54:08 PM
Newlin. Rev Steve Newlin.
6/19/2012 10:34:08 PM
Are there vampire STDs?
6/24/2012 10:02:42 PM
From s1, hep c isn't good for vampires. But otherwise, no.Due to a lovely Pam & Eric flashback, it is painfully obvious that unfortunately Tara will not meet her demise via tanning bed. *sigh* stake yourself!
6/24/2012 10:15:07 PM
^ ^ yeah, Pam is going to save her. And I suspect she'll legitimately take her under her wing.Even though I don't really like Tara, I do like the possibilities for Pam's character they can explore with her and Tara.Listening to her talk with the vampire teeth in was horrible. But I guess an actual vampire would have to adjust to that as well.
6/24/2012 11:40:05 PM
I do wonder how slutty Chancellor vampire's ability to have sex is the secret weapon.
6/24/2012 11:45:39 PM
There goes Bill having sex with his pants on again.
6/25/2012 5:54:27 AM
I didn't really follow the history story the chancellor vampire gave Bill. Is she John the Baptist's sister or something? I didn't understand how that fit into anything.
6/25/2012 6:48:41 AM
She's Salome, the daughter of King Herod's wife. She asks for John the Baptist's head on a platter in the Bible after she dances for King Herod (now called the dance of the seven scarves). In the Bible, the King is so happy, he'll give her anything she wants. And she wants John's head.Just a little Biblical backstory that the show throws in and distorts a bit to convey age, notoriety, and a bloodthirsty history. But it sounds like she might become a regular.
6/25/2012 7:32:28 AM
I have always disliked Tara's storylines. I just wish they would kill her off. I was so happy with what happened to her at the end of last season but I knew they wouldn't leave her dead.
6/25/2012 9:37:16 AM
Yeah, I'd rather see gay Jesus be brought back than Tara. Everything she does on screen makes me cringe.
6/25/2012 9:49:24 AM
Eric acting like a dim wit most of last season (while under that spell) almost ruined the whole season for me.I'm starting to fear that Tara being a bitchy/whiny (in other words, herself) vampire will ruin this season.dammit all
6/25/2012 10:10:02 AM
I love the flashback scenes. They are my favorite parts.I hope they do a flashback on the history of the guardian and the chancellor and Eric's sister (with hopefully more Godric). Also, do a little more back history on Edgington.
6/25/2012 11:41:56 AM
^Agreed on Godric. I wish they would have had a longer storyline with him. I'd like to see him going around with Eric throughout history and wrecking shit.
6/25/2012 4:21:21 PM
One good thing about this show and the characters is that just because a character dies (assuming they're a vampire) they can still be in the show through flashbacks. The Pam/Eric flashbacks have been very well done, especially how they relate thematically to the story taking place in the present.
6/25/2012 5:33:46 PM
Whatever happened to the vampire nazi storyline?
6/25/2012 7:00:11 PM
reason to believe once Russell was in the ground or "dead", since he was their leader for all those years, it came to an end or at least more quiet. now that he's out it could very well come back up in addition to him being the Sanguinista poster boy.
6/25/2012 7:11:44 PM
i'm mostly interested in what they are going to do with the kid vampire...if anything
6/25/2012 8:15:12 PM
^ hopefully nothing. I hate when he has lines. I do want to kind of know his story (how old he is, how he was turned, etc.) though.
6/25/2012 10:17:58 PM
I'm happy as long as there are more scenes with Eric's ass. And Bill/Eric shirtless. On a more serious note, I agree, the flashbacks are some of the best part of this season so far. Tara is easily the worst part.
6/25/2012 10:44:47 PM
^^it could turn out better than you think...and i think i agree with whoever said Steve Newlin is there new favorite character....he's just ridiculous and i love that...also...it's almost as if old Lafayette is back...and that makes me happy
6/26/2012 9:02:37 AM
I just want to say, Pam is prob my favorite character. I also love Lafayette. I have not read the books but I was told Tara was quickly killed and Lafayette was not gay so I am impressed with how they have molded the story to be something different.I am waiting for Elvis. Just saying.I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!
6/26/2012 9:56:32 AM
somebody lied to you then because lafayette was gay and killed off in the first book...tara wasn't killed in the books that i can remember...she just didn't have much of a role...she was just a girl (a white girl mind you) that sookie knew from school...she owned a boutique where sookie would go when she needed nice clothes but that's about it...she had a relationship with some old vampire...but she didn't have much of an impact on the story...
6/26/2012 10:01:33 AM
careful...some folks may get their panties in a wad discussin' books up in these parts
6/26/2012 10:12:54 AM
Yeah I haven't read the books yet, dammit! Quit discussing things which have been publicly available for over a decade!
6/26/2012 10:14:35 AM
hey...i was just aiding the overlord's wife in her misconceptions...i wouldn't tell just anybody that stuff
6/26/2012 10:18:27 AM
hahaha, thanks, LP78. I hate not knowing truth about anything. It helps me from looking like a jackass because I was told the wrong thing. I will read the books at some point.
6/26/2012 2:17:03 PM
Books are great, but nothing like the series. I do think know I like book Tara's role better though. [Edited on June 26, 2012 at 5:10 PM. Reason : fixed it.]

6/26/2012 11:42:50 PM
The book arguments are completely moot for this this show at this point. They have deviated so far from the books that it is pretty much a completely different entity. I see no harm in book comparisons now.Now for Game Of Thrones I still understand this argument...
6/27/2012 7:48:29 AM
Bump for tonight!
7/1/2012 7:44:08 PM
Haha kid vamp Ok...so Tara was a little less painful this episode now that Pam has taken her place as maker role. Do not care about sam's story thus far. I wish laffy was s1, 2 or 3 laffy and less demon Brujo whatever.
7/1/2012 10:32:38 PM
Agreed! I really liked that episode. And I'm glad Sookie's finally kissing Alcide.
7/2/2012 7:41:11 AM
whew! thank god that episode came along because I was this close to not watching anymore. The first 3 episodes were utterly horrible. And I really hate the stupid Iraqi war story line they have going. ]
7/2/2012 10:21:30 AM
That episode fucking sucked. I mean it's good that Sookie is finally getting shit for being such a reckless bitch and messing up other peoples' lives but overall this might have been the low point in the series. The scene where her car went out of control and crashed looked like it belonged on the SyFy channel. I realize this is a show involving supernatural creatures but that doesn't mean you can jump out of a car going 85 mph and survive without a scratch. You would be dead, or incredibly close to it. I mean were her clothes even torn? And then she starts hooking up with Alcide? What a skank.
7/2/2012 10:26:33 AM
Really? She's slept with two people, and kissed a third, she's in her late 20s, and she's a skank?I agree with the cutting the brujo crap though, and the Iraqi war story line.
