so sitting here watching the Ole Miss vs. Auburn game from 2003 being replayed on CBSCS, I had a question enter my mind
how is it that cutcliff is heralded as the savior for duke football when his career parallels that of amato so closely?
after all, he only won when he had a sheli on his team, much like CTC only won because of PR 8/12/2009 9:30:15 PM |

cause duke had only won like 3 games in the previous 4 seasons, so being like chuck and getting them to 4-5 wins is a huge improvement? 8/12/2009 9:42:37 PM |

Yeah, winning 4 games at Duke (in a season) is amazing, I'll give him that.
But what I find most hilarious are the people in the media predicting a 6-7 win season and a bowl. I mean really, let's not get carried away. They beat one conference team and three scrubs, and they're supposed to go bowling? Please. 8/13/2009 12:29:30 AM |

in all fairness, navy wasn't a "scrub" last year...navy should have won that game but lost their starting qb in the 2nd quarter

With TOB's history, I doubt we hear much, or if there is a full presser. I am guessing his status will remain undetermined.

so where does one park when he doesn't have have a parking pass? i got one of the 4 game mini plans, and - as far as i know - it didn't include any parking.
are there any pay lots around the stadium? i got some buddies tailgating in the Stadium West lot, so i'll probably just end up there, but i don't want to have to walk 5 miles to get there.
i'd be coming from charlotte, btw. 8/13/2009 2:56:00 PM |

There's a parking lot ~5-10 minutes from the stadium that's 10 bucks to park. That's where I always go. Can't remember the road it's on but it's the next left after Trinity. 8/13/2009 3:20:49 PM |

They're about to show State on ACC College Football Preview on Fox Sports South
I think
I've been flipping back and forth between the NFL pregame show on ESPN but I think they did the Coastal in the first half of the show then they just did BC, FSU, Maryland, Wake and Clemson is up next

As a rising senior and life long State fan **(bragging time... I've missed 4 home games since i was 5... so yeah blow me)**... even with P Rivs days I've never been as excited about NCSU football as this year... I can't wait to tailgate my ass off and cheer way to loud and live n' die with each play.
NCSU football is the heart beat of my life from September till (hopefully) January. I'll never feel excited as when we win, or as down as when we lose. State football can make or break my fall semester, or sometimes whole year...
So here is to winning games and getting way to drunk at 10am on Saturday, too yelling at my tv for very few away games this year, and lastly here is to my fellow state fans that know that struggle of being a true fan and the glory of what a great year might hold! 8/14/2009 2:21:29 AM |

Yeah WTF?!? We used to be some of the first to get there (it wasn't officially monitored so you could get there any time you wanted) but they started blocking it off at the end of season before last. Any chance of them letting people park there again?? It was seriously THE best place to tailgate...8/14/2009 5:46:36 AM |

It def isn't going to open back up since it is no longer there. They are extending Edwards Mill over to Chapel Hill Rd and all that grass will now be a 4 lane road.

After all he only molded arguably the best college QB ever at Tennessee.
He made two Super Bowl winning QBs at the college ranks, I think he is a pretty good offensive mind.8/14/2009 11:39:35 AM |
