i, too, have tried out the javelin glitch. (great way to max out jav kills, danger close pro, ninja pro, and commando pro challenges all at once )

Basically you'll have the marathon, danger close, and commando perks while doing this. (so you can sprint around indefinitely and get knife kills on top of your "super martyrdom ability")

i can personally say that there is no defense against this. The only weakness to the jav glitch is a sniper or a long long long range killer. With danger close on, the radius of the blast is so great that anyone visible would be incinerated.

Even on team deathmatch, the results are crucial. I've turned games around by myself just by using it (with triple & quadruple kills). On objective gametypes, forget it. Basically makes the game one-sided. It is truly an unfair glitch and needs to be corrected.

Was good for some lulz though

I just ran into my first case of someone using the Javelin glitch for an entire game and I'm all for anyone caught using it having their account permabanned. The guy went 21-19, not really impressive but considering it takes zero skill and is just blatant cheating that's 21 more kills than he should've had.

cool man. you and your friends play a shitload of call of duty. congrats on that. we all care so much. seriously. you are totally not an elitist douche by any means. from what i can tell from mw2 and WaW, these games have a very steep learning curve. it takes many hours of play time before you can actually get good at the game and start to finish rounds above .500 because you die so fucking easily. by the time that you do get that good it takes a while before you can reconcile for all the deaths you had when you sucked ass. and a lot of the people i see don't have k/d's over 1.

yeah but i'd argue that if you've played any COD game before then you have the basic idea of the sensitivity of the controls, the basic concept etc...but playing COD4 a bunch doesn't really affect learning a bunch of brand new maps...although the single player campaign helps with that some

i've never used the javeline glitch but i will say this...at least you can see the person coming and have a chance of taking them out from a distance.

What i find really annoying is the rock glitch in Afghan. The last match I've died once to it and killed the guy glitching half a dozen times under that rock because after you die once you know someones going to be using it all game so you just sneak up on the rock and empty a clip into it. Which brings me to my point as to why its annoying...I have to shoot that damn rock every time just in case because i have no way of knowing if someones glitching or not unless i die.

this game is fucking easy.

they tried so hard to make the maps realistic and intricate but it just turned into a game of who knows where people will tend run next.

it's not all about the k/d really...if you play games OTHER THAN team deathmatch, dying and respawning fast are pretty much OK - it's about holding the objs or running fast as hell to the next HQ, etc. and if you die, you die. you're not really trying to stop and kill people - you just happen to along the way, it's a by-product sort of thing...

i'm pretty tired of team deathmatch. i'm not good enough to play s&d yet. i'm still on ctf and HQ and domination. domination is the most fun for me right now.

I was on Rundown last night and the entire other team was a clan. They basically put snipers behind the two bridges and shot down anyone who tried to run across. My team basically had no kills until someone spawned on the other side and got us a foothold.

You're taking it a little bit to seriously when you practice in private matches and figure out actual strategies [OR IF YOU JUST LOOK THEM UP ONLINE] and take advantage of pugs. Its like if lebron james came over, pushed me down the stairs then tried to challenge me to a game of 21.

besides its lulzier when we just roll a pug when we've never played together before and half of us dont even play the same modes

I think it was a HQ game and they were just guarding it without capturing it so they could rack up kills.

I had the same thing happen on Skidrow. They got to 180 points and then just guarded the HQ and cut down anyone who came close. They actually had a pretty efficient set up. Whenever I'd kill one guy and move towards the HQ they'd have 2 guys come to get me. I assume that they were all doing tactical insertion from the same point. One of them must have gotten to 25 kills because the game ended with a nuke.

i love running around with the knife, especially with marathon. But most of the time i'll meet someone head on around the corner and i get too excited and want to knife them in the face instead of putting a few rounds from the .44 into them that i end up getting killed. Still fun though.
