As a pool fan, Im quite upset about the money dropped on Carroll (what the fuck, honestly). However, in the big picture, I don't mind swapping Torres + 5 million for Suarez + Carroll. Nando didnt want to be here anymore and is typically hurt about 1/3 of the games, and injured for maybe 1/2 of them. We're getting younger, we have more strikers, we have people with awesome work rates, and it fits well with the pool system of having a lone striker (Carroll) with someone playing in the hole (Suarez).

Maybe Im just justifying the styoopid money that was thrown around today, but, given the prices that were being quoted, we've got two young strikers who want to be here, for the time being.

Sigh. Its going to be weird to see Torres in blue.

Well, in the end, Liverpool are only -5m at the end of the day and they've got one very good attacking player and another young player who might very well be great later down the road to replace their jaded striker who wasn't producing anyway and was always hurt. It's not a terrible deal even though they overpaid for Carroll. But Chelsea WAY overpaid for Torres so it's not so bad.
