yeah i've been to oryx twice but can't get past him, got in the shade once and spontaneously died..

level 312 now thanks to iron banana but i still haven't gotten TOM i'm missing too many antiquated rune bosses and no one plays COO anymore.

Yeah I've only beaten hard mode oryx once. Luckily I was in a chill group who helped me out, taught me the no knight strat. I was a self Rez warlock and still died a couple of times.

the guaranteed 320 drops from the challenge, on all three characters, per week has to get you pretty close. i think my highest guy is like 312.

Twitter/Reddit are going crazy over these revised patch notes. I will continue to play but I hope bungie doesn't lose a lot of "casuals" with this update. The original patch notes stated things like some autos were getting a 4% damage buff, but it was actually .4 or even 0.04%. They were off by a factor of 10 for autos and pulses for everything. I have no idea how that gets out of QC and for so long.

Also there is a bug where you can apparently get the SRL license book rewards (costs $10) without buying the book. People losing faith in their microtransation business plan...not a good look for ole bungo

rando group with a couple squeakers in HM raid... started at golgoroth and got the challenge after a few quick wipes getting things down... then got daughters and oryx in a single run each.

^ those kinds of screw ups are honestly unacceptable especially with their resources... absolutely no reason that shouldn't be tested, caught, and fixed well before sniffing release

Well i failed about 5 times and gave up to raid instead.

Infused my Stillpiercer up to 318.

Beat Warpriest challenge in 2 damage cycles on the first try. Beat Oryx normal strat in one try. Guess I don't need a Spindle.

The raid team was nestled, all snug in their place.
While visions of Y2 Gjallarhorn, dance before their face.
When out in the Threshold arose such a clatter,
I ran from my position, to see what's the matter.

Away to the Back Right, I flew like a flash.
I shotgunned the knight, and threw in a bash.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear.
As the Vessel shows up, and ruins my year.

Gone first bomb, gone second, now third bomb, where's four?
We had to kill him quick, before he took more.
"On fifth phase we got it", our raid leader would call.
"It's just one more round, we'll make Oryx fall."

So up to their platform's, the Titans they flew,
With hands full of malice, and Saint-XIV's too.
And then, in a twinkling, they started to shoot,
the runner was jumping, he wanted his loot.

Their eyes-- how they twinkled! Oryx staggered with ease,
the knights not a worry as they fell to their knees.
The vessel was finished by a hunter with a bow.
This was the moment, they had one place to go.

Oryx spoke not a word, but went straight to the front.
As he channeled the darkness, he let out a grunt.
And lacing his fingers, in front of his chest.
We shot him again, and gave it our best.

He sprang from his perch, and let out a cry,
The raid team cheering as they watched him die.
But I heard Oryx exclaim, as he drifted out of sight,
"Happy Oryx-mas to all, and to all a Good-Fight!"

Just had my worst iron banner experience yet. Every game I loaded into was half way done, against a fire team of 5-6. I know the issue is that the player base is smaller now,especially on xbox.

Eek. I haven't even plugged destiny into my xbox since June...so i didn't know. The devs just seemed overwhelmed with Destiny from the beginning. I feel bad because it had such promise. I honestly feel like The Division, if done right, could go a step further than Destiny. I hope it is.

from what i played (all of the new content sans raid) it isn't a lot of new stuff to do but just overall quality of grind is definitely better. drops are almost guaranteed to be better than what you have and there are many ways to get it.

with that being said, my characters are all still in the 310-320 range because i want some new content!

i have played a lot since the april update. yeah, the best think is the new loot system. purple drops from "end game" activity (CoE, trials, nightfall) are pretty much guaranteed higher than your current light. crucible, vanguard, and faction packages the same. this makes it worthwhile, and fun, to complete basically the same content with some of it reskinned. Challenge of Elders is pretty fun and has an arcade feel with the scoring. it is not nearly as stressful as a raid

^you could get from 320 to 330+ really easily.

lots of other quality of life improvements which are great. considering this is free, it has really brought me back after leaving for the division.
