That's fine but the committee can't think like that. A win in March should don't the same as a win in November. You might know that State or UVa is different now but you have zero clue about how other teams have changed. Fans in general have a very narrow mindset which is why State fans claim refs are against them just like Duke, UNC and Kentucky fans do too.

The committee absolutely should think like that. They've shows repeatedly that they consider a team's performance in the 2-3 weeks leading up to Tournament time above performance from earlier in the season. They favor teams that are hot and peaking versus teams that are stagnating and cold going into March.

that's how we got in in 2012. we had a pretty shitty year, and then going into the acc tourney we had just beat miami in miami and trounced UVA and almost UNC and snagged a bid.

They've said countless times they don't but believe what you want. I mean look at Louisville for fucks sake.

We were 36 in the RPI in 2012. That had more to us getting in than did any perceived strong finish.

You could blame those on the coach, the players, etc... but each was different than the other when it came down to the wire. A bit of luck to pull through despite our own contributions to those losses and 2013/2014 was one of the most surprisingly good years in NCSU basketball history. louisville is conditioned to playing shitty teams and ripe for an upset. they should have lost to Manhattan. I won't be surprised if they lose to SLU. Same goes for Wichita State. All three of those teams are ripe for upsets and we could have beaten them all before losing to duke/michigan.

now that the season is over, let's discuss:

was UNC's season really that much better than ours? they finished 24-10 and we finished 22-14. they split with Duke, so did we. We beat Syracuse, they didn't. We finished 5-10 against tourney teams, they finished 8-6 against tourney teams
