after years of only doing 10ks, 10 milers, and half marathons, im finally going to bite the bullet and put away 26.2

my only fear is that i'm going to get REALLY bored...

That's inevitable. Running is boring as fuck. I don't mind running in new places or doing sprints, though.

haha i maybe nuts, but i can run further barefoot than i can in shoes. plus you run on the pads of your feet which become real tough after a while. pavement is no problem.

1500 cal on cardio - took wayyyy longer than it should have.

Mid-level intensity strength training - should have been a rest day.

General core workout - situps etc

725 Calories on the Arc Trainer (<3 Elliptical)
100 Hanging Leg Raises
100 Seated V-Ups (Abs)
250 Side Crunches
50 Pull Ups

^ I spotted Yodajammies--- but he's lying, his strength training intensity was a 1 on a scale from 1-10.

I'm adjusting rather well to weight training while in ketosis. Usually it's been hell on earth to get through a workout in the past when on a carb restricted diet.

I was on it for a month until this weekend, but ended up taking a couple of days off while I was at the beach. Right now I'm back on day 3, which is usually the worst day for me mentally. By tomorrow morning, I should be back to feeling energetic and clear headed again.

55 minutes of elliptical trainer ( ~ 650 calories )

Back Day:
Close Grip Lat Pulls (70, 90, 100 lbs)
Straight Arm Lat Pulls (70, 90, 100 lbs)
Shrugs (135, 185, 205, 225 lbs)
Seated Cable Rows (60, 80, 100 lbs)
Wide Grip Lat Pulls (70, 90, 100 lbs)

My left rotator cuff was extremely inflammed yesterday. I was too nervous to go heavy on my lat pulls =(

ive been seriously considering entering some men's open/senior division wrestling tournaments in VA or something sometime in the near future so im trying to get back into shape hardcore. it also bugged me thinking about the fact that the best shape ill ever be in in my entire life was my senior year in HS (probably still will be but I can try right )

That being said I'm lifting M-W-F, playing beach volleyball monday nights, softball tuesday and wednesday nights, and started running again this week. The running is the worst part, I absolutely hate running.

lifting has gone well too, Im nowhere near what I was lifting in HS (but I cant expect to be after just 2 months haha) but some of my benchmarks (like my benchpress) has already shot up nearly 40lbs on my max in just 8 weeks from muscle memory I think. I've never had a problem with my weight knock on wood. I weigh about 5 lbs more now than I did in HS while I was wrestling. And I know for a fact If I was running as much as I was then and wrestling everynight for 3 hours Id be at that weight or lower just naturally.

The worst part of all of this will be actually getting in "wrestling shape" - which can only be done by getting significant time on the mat and I dont know how Im going to do that with my work schedule

I enjoy workouts at Carmichael. Watching other's lift and attempt to get fit is a great motivator. I worked out for 4 hours today on biceps & forearms. I do a different muscle group each day of the week.

dur im tired. i meant waste of a session imo. I can see entire nights of legs easily, entire nights of back, entire nights of chest - large muscle groups have so much to work. biceps, triceps, forearms - these things are so isolated that you can work them hard nearly every day along with whatever large group you're on and they'll fully recover (and then just give them a couple days rest here and there).

Four hours is entirely too long for just biceps and forearms. You can't effectively and repeatedly stimulate the same muscle fibers that long and expect any serious muscle gains (I assume that's what your going for since your on a split routine)
