Answer below the update. Here is the update:

Quote :
"TONIGHT: CONVECTIVE COVERAGE AND INTENSITY SHOULD THEN INCREASE
DURING THE OVERNIGHT... WITH THE ARRIVAL OF A 40-50 KT LLJ
DOWNSTREAM OF AN UPPER IMPULSE CENTERED NEAR DEL RIO TX AT 18Z AND
BENEATH CONTINUED UPPER DIVERGENCE IN THE AFOREMENTIONED STJ EXIT
REGION. LOW LEVEL THETA-E ADVECTION IN A BREEZY SOUTHWEST LOW LEVEL
FLOW SHOULD PARTIALLY OFFSET OTHERWISE MARGINAL... NEARLY MOIST
ADIABATIC DEEP LAYER LAPSE RATES.. AND CONTRIBUTE TO UP TO SEVERAL
HUNDRED J/KG MLCAPE AND 500-1000 J/KG OF MUCAPE BETWEEN 06-12Z.
FORECAST SOUNDINGS SUGGEST CONVECTION SHOULD BE SLIGHTLY ELEVATED
WITH JUST ENOUGH NEAR SURFACE-PARCEL CIN... HOWEVER... WHICH WOULD
TEND TO LIMIT MOST OF THE SEVERE THREAT. NONETHELESS... THE ARRIVAL
OF THE LLJ AMIDST STRONG MID-UPPER WIND FIELDS WILL CREATE FAVORABLY
LONG AND SLIGHTLY CURVED HODOGRAPHS TO SUPPORT A CONDITIONAL TORNADO
AND DMGG WIND THREAT WITH ANY SUSTAINED UPDRAFTS ROOTED IN THE
SURFACE LAYER. THOUGH AGAIN... AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS INFLOW
PARCELS MAY INDEED REMAIN SLIGHTLY ELEVATED AND MITIGATE THAT
THREAT.
TEMPERATURES QUITE MILD GIVEN THE BREEZY SOUTHWEST WIND...
WITH GENERALLY LOWER TO MIDDLE 60S EXPECTED.

SUNDAY: GIVEN THE AFOREMENTIONED FORCING AND DESTABILIZATION... A
BAND OR BANDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS -- PERHAPS IN THE FORM OF
SYNOPTIC SCALE QLCS -- SHOULD BE ONGOING AND SPREADING EAST ACROSS
CENTRAL NC EARLY SUNDAY. THE CONVECTION SHOULD BECOME INCREASINGLY
NEAR SURFACE-BASED WITH EARLY DAY DIABATIC HEATING AND CONTINUED LOW
LEVEL THETA-E ADVECTION AS IT PROGRESSES EASTWARD WITH THE LLJ
THROUGH THE I-95 CORRIDOR/COASTAL PLAIN THROUGH MIDDAY. ACCORDINGLY
EXPECT THE SEVERE THREAT (PRIMARILY DMGG WIND AND TORNADO THREAT) TO
INCREASE AFTER SUNRISE... THOUGH IT WILL LIKELY BE LIMITED
TEMPORALLY IN CENTRAL NC BY THE MIDDAY DEPARTURE INTO
EAST-NEIGHBORING WFO CWA/S.
DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TIMING OF THE
LINE AND ATTENDANT SURFACE COLD POOL... SOME PRE-COLD POOL DISCRETE
(HIGHER PROBABILITY OF SEVERE) DEVELOPMENT IS ALSO POSSIBLE."

Get up early basically.

Read the text, you can just skip over the complex words, the bolded text should make enough sense for you to see what I mean though. The first paragraph is today (Up to midnight), the second is tomorrow (From midnight on, obviously). This is what real weather folk read son!

lightning - abrupt electric discharge from cloud to cloud or from cloud to earth accompanied by the emission of light

lightening - descent of the uterus into the pelvic cavity that occurs late in pregnancy; the fetus is said to have dropped

It was taken in the far western portion of Cary, almost to Chatham County.

Thanks guys.
I've done a bit of lightning photography before -- honestly it isn't too difficult and can produce some great results. Use a tripod, point the camera towards the lightning, set it to take photos that are 5-10 seconds long, and just take a lot of them. I have a Nikon D40 and use the remote clicker thing -- I stand a few feet away from the camera and just click it for 10-15 minutes while I watch the storm.

I probably took 100 photos this way last night and this was the best. Just click the button right after the shutter closes to take another photo, and do this as long as you want.

Depending on the intensity of the storm, ~80% of the photos won't have lightning (although I've done storms that 95% of the shots had lightening -- that was crazy). A few shots will have some small lightening strikes; if you get really lucky the shutter will be open long enough on a select few photos to have multiple strikes within the same shot. Those are the ones that look awesome!

It's been helluva busy week for severe weather here in Texoma. I managed to survive the May 10th Oklahoma tornado outbreak, survive a bow echo with 75 mph sustained winds overnight Wednesday, and survive flooding last night....all in one week! It's been a 14 hour day at the TV station nearly everyday this week!
