Why would you say that? It was behaving perfectly normal yesterday on 1.1.3 software.

There are tons of other reports of the same thing happening to people that upgraded.

I'd say this is a pretty clear cut case of shitty software to me.

I'll find out for sure in a bit. I'm in the process of downgrading to 1.1.4.

Either way, it's still very far from "a brick" I mean it's still basically functional.

Not being able to run the 2.0 software makes the phone just as worthless as poor signal and battery life in my opinion, might want to look for some solution other than just permanently downgrading

I would hope that the 2.0.1 software would fix most, if not all, of the bugs that 2.0 introduced. If not, I really wasn't that impressed with the App Store. I'd rather have a jailbroken 1.1.4 phone than a crippled 2.0 one anyway.

I haven't had any issues, but at this point keep in mind that it's not a phone, it's a computer...

So looking for signal will go through battery on any phone. It sounds like there's a problem with a cell tower near you.

I love the iPhone interface, but like turn of the century computers, it's still a tad on the slow side. The HW has yet to catch up. It's still better than any other phone on the market.

mine almost never lagged.. and i was typing close to 30wpm on it.. people looked at me like i was f'in crazy when i texted, they were like wtf i can't even see your thumbs moving theyre going so fast haha. the point being that even at that speed it either lagged to the point that it took a second or more per character to come up or it was instant and kept up with me fine

sounds like a 2.0 bug to me or some other problem

edit: what would my monthly cost be for unlimited texts and 450 minutes?

Only time I noticed lag in text entry is when I'm trying to type on a page in safari that's still loading. if i click the x to stop the loading process it works fine.

^it's the last four or five digits from that. Pick a start number that's 100 or so less...if it's too early, it'll just show that there's no data for those up until the first real order.

^^The ones here in seattle still had lines 4-5 hours long all last week. They had stock but could only get so many people activated every day.

AT&T took 15 minutes in and out, picked it up, went over the plans, and out the door.

FYI, Apple said they sold over a million 3G's in the first three days. Based on that trend, they should hit 2 million by the EOW this week, and 3 million by mid August.

Im like 98 deep in the queue for my zip, but there are about 4 AT&T stores in the same zip. Is this tool picking up all the orders for all the stores in the zip or what?

so ive been using the pandora application, and it's sweet, but the iphone locks out so quick that when you hear a song and wanna go back and thumb up/down or skip its locked out. you can only adjust the max lock out time to 5 minutes so that's not that helpful...

or if pandora could put their controls on the lock screen that would helpful

Apple better be glad they have good products, because I am getting more and more pissed over this damned iphone.

The availability website is SHIT. COMPLETE SHIT. It showed NO availability last night for iphones. I checked it again this morning. NONE. So I didnt bother going. My friend went there a few minutes ago, and they just sold the last one (she just happened to be there, and was checking for me). She asked them how many they got in, and they said 30. He then had the audacity to tell her she needs to check the availability website. She told him that the availability website sucked, and they needed to do better instead of wasting everyones time. She didnt even want the damned thing, but she knows I've been checking that hacked piece of shit for days.

They need to allow people just to go in, pay for the thing, and pick it up when its ready... Instead of making all of us wait in a fucking line and hoping to get one. I would have gone to AT&T by now, but I honestly thought I would have one at the store sooner. I am going there tomorrow, availabilty website or not. If they dont have it tomorrow, I'll just go to AT&T

Its called direct fulfillment, and you can go it at any AT&T store. I didn't set foot in an Apple store, I just placed my order at the north hills at&t and picked up my iphone 9 days later.

umm what? you know you can slide to unlock and then vote thumbs up or down. sliding to unlock just takes you to the last open application. and yes i do this all the time because I use pandora while driving

I actually agree with him. There should be an option to have it so that the iPhone/iPod Touch doesn't lock when doing certain things/in certain applications and instead just dims the screen.

I know you can set it globally, but it would be a lot better on an application to application basis.
