was offered a trade... i'd get Jason Witten, I'd give up Brandon Jacobs...

I currently have Todd "awful" Heap starting at TE, and my RB's are Cedric Benson, DeAngelo, and Thomas Jones...

should I make this trade?

i think colts defense got screwed out of a fumble rec. recovered while out of bounds and in the end zone, so it was a touch back

Guy I'm playing has Rodgers, Fitzgerald, Driver, Grant and Kris Brown going. He has 70 points in the first half of the early games in a standard Yahoo! league...

Good God.

looks like I'm gonna get burned by my bench again today. Roddy White and Greg Jennings a total of 4 points after the first half, Mike Sims-Walker has 14

LOL, make that 19 for MSW

Manning needs to pass to someone other than Clark. I mean, that's borderline gay.

Down goes Andre Johnson... again.

You know what... fuck this thread. I've been fucked the last like 3 weeks listening to advice here! Cutler working on a ~40 point game if he throws one more TD... and if Romo doesn't do well I'll lose because of it when I could've been tied for first in my league with a win.

[Edited on November 8, 2009 at 3:40 PM. Reason : i had cuddles starting against ARI all week until today]

^^ Why would you start Romo against Cutler. I don't care who is giving you that advice, don't listen to them. Cutler obviously had the far more favorable matchup.

^Ditto for there. At least you made the smart decision.

LJ to the Texans continues to gain momentum for everywhere but ESPN.

Worth watching....as he could be worth a look if he lands on a decent team.

^^I had Matt Prater last year and he was good for me, but Akers has been absolutely golden. He's given me double digits the last two weeks and has kept my win streak (6 games) alive.

^its funny that that is a legitimate question. seems like the answer would have to be "no", but you could make a case for "yes"...

what does everyone think of steve slaton going forward? i'm in a keeper league where you can't keep your first 3 picks. if i lose this week, i think i'm out of the playoff hunt...if i win, i'm very much in the mix. unfortunately the trade deadline is a week from friday.

i am being offered slaton (as a 10th round keeper pick next year) for thomas jones (my 2nd round pick this year [pick number is distorted by keepers] - so i cannot keep him). i definitely do it if i lose this weekend just at the chance slaton gets another chance to prove himself.

but if i win and am still in contention for the playoffs this year, what are the chances that slaton is a suitable replacement for jones going forward the rest of this year? moats had a goal line fumble and something like 3 yards per touch this past sunday...not very impressive.

Someone in my league dropped Portis. He is obviously out this week, and probably next week, but should I drop S. Greene and grab him? That offense is abysmal and he's having a bad year, but would he be worth picking up or just add to my stable of unproductive fantasy backs with Jacobs and Westbrook?

if you can pick him up instantly why not just drop a kicker for him until Saturday and see if any more news comes out about him? Your decision might be made for you...

In a league where I have/had Cooley I just accepted a trade of Celek for Jennings...we start 3 WR and I have Vincent Jackson, Percy Harvin, Anquan Boldin, and Cotchery as my other WR so I think I'm ok. Anyone think I should see if I can cancel this trade before the waiting period is up?

^^^Well I was thinking more long-term for the season. Who would have more value for the rest of the season, Portis or Greene? I have Tynes and I'm trying not to drop him.

^I don't think you can bench S. Jackson, he just gets too many touches. R. Williams has a shot at having a good game but he could also give up all his TDs to Brown.

It's pretty easy to overthink that situation IMO but it boils down to touches

Portis is the starter and will get more touches per game than Green. If for some reason Thomas Jones went down this argument would be completely reversed because the starter for the Jets will be more valuable than Portis, but at this very moment in time Portis is more valuable. Green is the kind of guy I'd like on my bench, but hope I would never have to start.

#3 WR

Eddie Royal @ WSH
or
Antonio Bryant @ MIA
or
Patrick Crayton @ GB
or
Cotchery vs JAC

I've got Royal in there right now... Don't think Bryant is going to play. Crayton is kinda risky. Cotchery vs JAC?

Flex position, PPR league

Jamaal Charles @ OAK

Is the guy who got Brees in one of the top few spots in the standings and was Garrard his best QB before that?

Or does the guy who got Jackson have another good QB, and really shitty RB depth

Hey guys, I've got some major lineup questions this week...I've looked at a lot of sites and all the "pros" are apparently in total disagreement with one another over a lot of these guys:

1) Need to fill 1 RB, 1 WR, and 1 flex spot, choices are:
-RB Maroney @ IND
-RB Cadillac @ MIA
-RB Fargas @ KC
-RB Sproles @ PHI
-WR Cotchery @ JAC
-WR Boldin @ SEA
-WR Meachem @ STL

2) Need to fill flex, choices are:
-RB Charles @ OAK
-RB Smith @ MIN
-RB Choice @ GB
-RB Betts @ DEN
-WR Chambers @ OAK

3) Need to fill flex, choices are:
-RB Fargas @ KC
-RB McCoy @ SD
-WR Holt @ NYJ
-WR Chambers @ OAK
-WR James Jones @ DAL

I know it's a lot, sorry...but a lot of the same names...thanks for the help

1. Sproles if its a return points league, Boldin if not (with Meachem close behind)

2. Smith

3. Chambers

Bye week fill in for Schaub: Orton v. Was or Alex Smith v. Chi?

^^i'd go:

1. maroney, fargas, boldin (if playing) - sub in sproles for fargas if you get points for return yards

2. betts

3. fargas

what about this: guy offered me marion barber for roddy white in a non-ppr league. i'm stacked at receiver, need some RB help. what do you guys think?

I put on Hester for Brandon Marshall... Just scares me having no other legitimate options with Andre Johnson on his bye week if Marshall's back hurts him.

Pick two from:

MJD
Ray Rice
Pierre Thomas

MJD & RR are the obvious choices but Thomas has an excellent matchup with St. Louis. RR has Cleveland. MJD has the Jets. No way I can sit MJD right? Guess it's a great problem to have.
