I actually like seeing the Pac-10 get a Thursday night, especially the Ducks. We hardly ever get to see them play so it's a great chance to showcase their team to the nation in primetime.

it's not a blackout issue, it's a capacity issue on ESPN's part... their setup doesn't allow for multiple streams (regional streams) of ESPN HD to as many parts of the country as SD does for some reason. therefore, the biggest percentage of the country that is getting a game on ESPN (i think) will typically get that game in HD, while everyone else has to watch the reverse game on ESPN in SD.
