Just saw on Twitter that Abu signed. Totally agree that if Warren leaves (and its pretty much 100% he's gone after this year) then we'll still be in really good shape the next 2 years. Deep team, solid 9-ish deep with depth at all different positions.

Using CJL returning for his Junior year is actually a counter-argument to TJW staying for his. If Warren is looking to the CJL situation for guidance, he'd see that Leslie actually would have been better off leaving after his sophomore year.

If Warren is projected in the top 15-20 picks he'll probably go. I don't think he'd ever be a top 5 guy, so it seems unlikely he'd risk going undrafted to potentially go just a few spots higher.

^^ That is only because CJL did not improve as a player. Warren would hopfully recognize his weaknesses and try to get better with a junior season. Obviously it is futile to even argue about at this point, but with this insane draft class, I think TJ is going to be lucky if he is a 1st rounder and will need a hell of a season to get any pub to help him become a 1st round guy.

...or not. CJL probably would have actually been drafted had he left after his freshmen or sophomore year. He stayed and he didn't get picked.

Bottom line is that Warren has his mind set on leaving after this year and thats it. Same thing with CJL and Lo Brown last year.

Warren busted his ass over the offseason to shape himself into an NBA 3, even though he's more built to play the 4 at the college level. It appears he's doing everything he can to make the jump, and if he is projected as a 1st rounder, he won't come back.

That's precisely the point I was making. CJL not being drafted when he could've been if he went sooner is serving as a cautionary tale to Warren. Whether or not he heeds it is up for debate, but my guess is he will.

i have no complaints with Gott. Dudes recruiting his arse off. We're not pulling in Duke/UNC/UK/Kansas type of talent...but we're pulling in some pretty damn good ball players and we're doing it in consecutive years. We used to pull in talent under Herb and Sid but it was one or two guys every couple years. Not like what we're seeing now. These next few years could be some gooood years. We're gonna be stocked with talent next year and the year after.

what? how so? Because Lorenzo and CJ weren't basketball talented enough to make it? CJ is a clumsy 6'9 210 that isn't big enough to play the 4 or skilled enough to play the 3. Lorenzo is athletic...however he doesn't have the speed or quickness to be a true PG in the league. He also is quite careless with the ball. Neither of those are Gott's fault. TJ Warren is gonna make a real pretty penny in the league after playing for Gottfried and I bet $ that someone else out of last years class and this coming class will make it to the league.
