tyler lewis was an all-american in high school. i doubt he wants to spend his last two years playing competitive basketball from the bench. i'd love for him to stay though.

Are we just assuming Lewis is going to transfer or have we been hearing things? I just wish we had a program where fringe McD AA's were willing to take on a supporting role and stick around instead of jumping ship if they don't get the minutes. But it seems that unless you're an elite program, it ends up being glorified AAU ball and the players just look for a spot they can get more minutes without showing any real loyalty to any school. I hope Lewis sticks with us and leaves a mark as a valuable 4 year guy. You never know what's going to happen. Minutes may open up at some point.

Considering Lewis almost transferred last year gives me a weird feeling about this next off season
I haven't heard anything but some things seem obvious yet we all could be reading into things not there

^^ Hodge said Turner was a stud also. And he's not bad...but we're going to need Lacey to be a much more dynamic scorer with Warren gone next year.

Turner is who he was at LSU. Lacey is 99.9% likely to be the same player he was at Bama. There is a clear body of work to predict his production.

Lacey was pigeonholed into a PG role in a slow offense at Bama. He will be out on the wing in our uptempo offense, so his numbers should see a bump.

But yeah, he was a good 3pt shooter, decent rebounder and solid defender at Bama. His fg% inside the arc wasn't very good. I'd expect him to be primarily a threat from outside when he comes here, which is cool because we are desperate for more shooters. With him, Cat and Dez Lee defending in the perimeter plus Washington and Anya protecting the rim, we have a chance to be passable on D next year.

on another note, I was just reminded of how good Duke's class is next year. According to ESPN's rankings, they have 2 guys in the top5, and 4 guys in the top25 (a center who's #1 in the class, pg who's #4, #14 a sf, and #24 a sg)
