Quote : | "Everything changed for me this season.
Before the season started I had one offer from Charlotte, and by the time basketball season started I'd picked up an offer from VCU. Then we played in the High School OT and that turned out to be my coming out party. I played really well at that tournament and I picked up an offer from N.C. State.
That was cool because I actually grew up an N.C. State fan. I was a fan of them because my grandmother is a big State fan and a lot of my family likes them too. It was cool being on the phone with Coach (Mark) Gottfried and having him offer me personally. I was excited, but I tried to keep it cool. That's how I was with the other offers too. I play it pretty cool.
Everything's gotten crazier now; I got an offer from Kansas recently and that was really big for me. Duke is coming on really strong too. Right now, I talk to Duke and VCU the most.
I went to Duke for the first time when they played N.C. State this past season and that was crazy! That was the most fun I've had on a visit so far. The Cameron Crazies were just insane! I loved it.
Coach K told me that they weren't recruiting a point guard in 2015 so it would be a great situation for me. It was crazy to hear that coming from a coach like him. It was sort of unreal. It was an honor.
I've had a couple of other schools tell me that they're going to be offering me soon, and I just appreciate all of the schools for even considering me.
I'm just having fun with everything and enjoying the whole process. It's all new to me so it still excites me. I don't have any visits planned for the summer. I'm just concentrating on getting better.
I talked to Rodney Purvis last week and he was just giving me advice on the process. He said that whatever school I go to make sure it's the best school for me and to go to the school that is known to produce point guards. I appreciated him for that." |
I rarely use this word anymore...but Rodney Purvis is acting like a fucking faggot. Fuck off Rodney and mind your own fucking business. Jesus Christ...just let it go.5/6/2014 9:50:56 AM |

^^ Haha what? So its pretty well known he steered Randle away from State after he became unhappy (aka TJ taking his playing time and starting spot), rumored he texted Graham not to go to State and is now this 'vague' stuff. Every person that has ever transferred from State I've wished the best, but I really hope he falls on his face at UConn.

Shut up UConn dickwad. You can "talk" to recruits without shitting on your former school (which he's obviously doing).
Bottom line is that we gave him the opportunity to play and shine at NC State and he dropped the ball. He couldn't handle the back-up PG spot and a better player (Warren) started taking his minutes at the 2 and 3 spots. He transferred and now he's being a bitter bitch about it. I hope he completely fucks up UConn's team in the next couple years. Fuck that little bitch and fuck you for taking up for him because's a faggot husky.

Yeah for real, he might not even have the opportunity to be playing college ball if not for the effort that our staff put in to get him eligible. He was given ample opportunity to showcase his abilities here and earn more playing time. Instead, he didn't deliver. So then because we didn't continue to play him 20+ MPG or hand over PG duties ahead of Zo & Lewis, he decides to transfer (fine) and sabotage our recruiting efforts with every kid he has any relationship with (not at all fine).
I wish Lewis well. It screws us over that we'll be thin at PG, especially after missing on Graham, but at least he had the decency to give his best effort every game. Seems to me like he had a pretty good idea that he'd be gone after the season early on, yet he still brought it every game and tried to get us the W. I respect that. 5/6/2014 11:42:14 AM |

Yep! It sucks to see guys transfer, especially valuable guys to the program, but we all know that kids change their minds or do what they feel is right for them. It hurts, but most rational people dont fault the kids and wish them well where they end up. However, if you start trying to sabotage other peoples recruitment or bad mouth a school just because you didnt live up to your hype then you deserve all the hate you get. Things didnt work out, you move on to a new school and leave it at that. 5/6/2014 12:15:08 PM |

Quote : | "Seth Allen announced late last week his intention to leave Maryland, becoming the fourth player to leave the program this offseason (and Charles Mitchell apparently could become the fifth). According to various corners of the tubes, the Wolfpack is already pursuing Allen, who will have to sit out the 2014-15 season but will have two years of eligibility remaining after that. Virginia is another possible destination that's been thrown out so far.
He is restricted from making a move to another Big Ten team, but based on the radio interview he did Tuesday, it doesn't sound like he was really interested in playing in that league anyway.
"In the ACC, I can speak for my teammates, we pretty much know every player. We know who we're going to play against, what we're doing. The scouting report is just to refresh your memory, but you know. In the Big Ten, it's going to be different. You're going to have to buckle down and you're going to have to be focused." Allen finished second behind Dez Wells with an average of 13.4 points per game, and shot 38% from three-point range. He wants to play point guard since he's undersized for a two, and that might be the biggest factor in where he decides to go next. He says he expects to make a decision within a couple weeks." |

I'd be extremely surprised if that happens (Lewis was an All-American, was Virginia player of the year, and lead Oak Hill in a 44-0 season). And he didn't have a "little bitch attitude". But he's not on the team anymore.

^Exactly, Lewis was McDonald's All-American and a 4* player with plenty of offers. Corch Jr. has small college offers. He's not going to just channel his dad on the court and be a miracle worker for us.
If Corch Jr. ends up playing in anything short of mop-up duty we're going to either be in serious trouble with injuries or he's going to be a complete Steph Curry level diamond in the rough. 5/8/2014 10:50:35 AM |

You can like the kid and still predict that he's not going to come in and be "lewis 2.0", or hardly even contribute in any games... I mean, it's possible that he may turn into a solid back-up as an upperclassmen, but at this point, that's wishful thinking. And that's nothing against the guy, I think it's awesome that he's choosing to walk-on here instead of taking a scholarship at a smaller school. 5/8/2014 11:06:38 AM |
