Amen to that. I know of ONE server which runs EF maps, and even then they are few and far between in the rotation. I wish that when Armored Fury comes out, there would be a few servers which would run nothing but EF and AF maps and that'd be IT.

there are a couple dedicated servers out of the 2000+ servers on the list

and i can play with the ls96a1 ir whatever the fuck when i am a euro sniper

but im not going to sit around and rank up until ive unloced every single one of these first guns

assuming that after i do i can start unlocking the seconds

I think my filters are weeding out servers which have EF maps. I only search for large maps, same version, ranked. If you can recommend some specific IP's or server names, I'd be very appreciative.

Anyway, I have to say that it is utterly hilarious when you're looking through the scope of your sniper rifle and suddenly you see a parachuting jeep fall harmlessly right in front of you. Nice try, enemy commander.

By the way, who has some screens of some very odd jeep landings? It's funny that I have yet to see any which were truly picture-worthy.

I have had the single most fun I've ever had in this game today, and did it in the most unorthodox fashion.

Go check out this server if you are in any need of your pistol or knife requirements. I can't believe this is ranked, but I managed to break 50 knife kills and earn Veteran Pistol in only 3 rounds. It was just SO much fun to charge into entire groups of enemies like Wolverine and start slashing away. Won't be long now before I can finally rank up since I have my knife badge.

^^They changed the knife combat badge requirements so you don't need any IAR knife kills to get the veteran and expert badges. You do need IAR kills for the pistol badge though. I thought EA was really cracking down on the pistol/knife servers, I seem to recall that you would get into a little trouble if you knowingly played on a ranked one.

killed a bunch of people with vehicle drops it definately takes some strategic placement, but can easily be done... i cant remember the name of it but the map with the sub hangers is the best for vehicle drop killing. you can easily kill people on the crane and people on inclines

I have decided that the single best mod for this game would be one in which ALL of the Joint Strike Fighters are simply replaced with Hornets. I still just can't believe how poorly the JSF fares against all other fighters. That's a damn shame.

do pistol/knife servers not record the badges earned? i went to 3 different servers, ranked and unranked, and achieved the basic and veteran pistol and knife badges but they never showed up in my BFHQ or online ID tracker. i need these to advance rank and i dont get it.

The server I went into was definitely ranked. It was not set up in such a way that the only weapon choices were pistol/knife, but the admins running it at the time were STRONGLY enforcing the "use only pistol/knife" rule of their own. Anybody who killed someone with a weapon other than pistol/knife immediately got the boot.

Hot damn, finally made First Sergeant. With it came not one but two unlocks, so I was especially thrilled to be able to get the L96A1 and the P90. After using them both for several rounds, I can say that they are without a doubt my two favorite weapons now. If you don't already have 'em, GET 'EM. I can absolutely confirm that the L96A1 is capable of 1-shot-in-the-head-kills at significant ranges, and the P90 is surprisingly good at mid ranges.

I don't really like the P-90 that much... it's bullets don't do much damage so you have to hit the person 10 times before they die.

Well, I played for about 4 hours yesterday and tried many different things with both rifles. I was killing guys at medium range (@20 yards) with the P90 with only about 4 rounds. I seldom ever get headhots unless I am using a sniper rifle, so I feel like the P90 is significantly more effective than the MP5 - which I despise. I've dumped whole magazines into a target and still had it kill me. Plus, I always shoot better with the optical sight as opposed to iron sights anyway.

As for the L96A1, I made a surprisingly long range kill while on the roof of one of the garages at Dalian Plant. I spotted a guy at the base of one of the loading cranes all the way down at the easternmost flag, and dropped him in two shots. It had to have been 150+ yards. Next time I get on that map, I'll see if I can get a screenshot.

What the FUCK. I can't log into the stupid EA Downloader thing no matter what I do. Even more so, whenever I request that my password be resent, it tells me that my email address is incorrect. There's only one address which I used for any kind of bill-paying correspondence, so I know I don't have it wrong. Even more annoying is that it's now telling me that I can only make two requests per DAY. There has got to be a telephone number through which I can talk with a person to get them to reset this via my credit card number and past authorization.

man i was pwning everyone as an engineer last night on the wake map. i had the standard shotgun and went buckwild..haha. i even got my basic explosive ordinance badge which was a plus. i never play engineer and i thought i'd give it a whirl; now i gotta decide whether to unlock the engineer's upgrade when i can.
