I swear there is some sort of meteorological bubble around north raleigh (or raleigh in general) that causes storms to break apart as they approach

go look at the radar from page 45, and notice how the storm is splitting in half around the leesville/RDU airport area (i.e. where we live)

I'm so glad that storm missed us to the north by a couple of counties! I was watching KFOR while I was putting my 5:30 show together, and they took a direct hit. Whoever decided skylights were perfect for a news studio needs to rethink that. The meteorologist came on air with hail that had fallen into their studio along with the pieces of the skylight. Part of their roof was torn off and their parking lot looked horrible. Ah, Oklahoma weather!
