Wow, Dinch may actually be getting a feel for the ACC. I remember when she came in and rated UNC's stadium 4th and ours 11th and our fans went nuts.

damn, what could have been if we'd just played better defense on two series (Maryland and BC)

they made it a penalty in college football this year. It's been called a few times.

it's a pretty liberal interpretation, you pretty much have to get ripped down by it... usually you can't grab the horse collar unintentionally anyway unless the pads are loose, that picture of the UNC tackle is a jersey tackle, not a horsecollar.

V right, I was saying that the tackle in the picture wasen't illegal, and jersey tackles look alot like horsecollars because they are so tight.

i was under the impression it was legal to tackle by the jersey, but not the pads. (in horse collar speak)

How is he not grabbing pads there?

I just can't see how that's just jersey.

But yeah, reading the rule, it's highly interpretive. A "couple of yards"...I've seen people hurt either way.

71 & 72 are pretty good too.

the guy jumping up in 72 and in 71 it looks like even the cop on the right of the picture is excited about the INT.

for the record, i wasn't trying to defend horse collar tackles. i just honestly was under the impression there was a difference between grabbing jersey and pads. (and that was not making a call specific to the above tackle, just a general thought.)

Andrew Jones

Quote :
"State fans lean conservative; Carolina fans lean liberal.

State rarely competes for ACC titles, even in non-revenue sports; Carolina dominates like no other school in the ACC, and few nationally.

State fans drink beer; Carolina fans drink wine.

State girls smoke, never miss happy hour and wear jeans to football games; Carolina girls primp, go out in large groups after 11 p.m., and wear dresses to football games.

N.C. State has had a tendency to flirt with crossing the line on NCAA rules; Carolina has long been the model for doing things the right way.

State is red; Carolina is blue."

"At about 2:30 a.m., first-year Coby Kavanaugh spotted an N.C. State fan near Davie Hall and chased him to Memorial Hall.

When Kavanaugh caught up to the unidentified fan, Kavanaugh threw a cup of hot chocolate at him and tackled him to the ground. Then two other Wolfpack fans confronted Kavanaugh and threw him to the ground.

A group of more than 40 UNC well-watchers arrived to provide back-up. The State fans fled the scene by car, with one State student still hanging out the open passenger door.

“It was one of the best things I’ve done since I’ve been here,” Kavanaugh said. “I was just trying to protect the Old Well.”"

aha i know this guy.

Yeah on the ABC news after the game, the guy reporter said "So currently everyone in Chapel Hill is searching for the license plate # of the Wolfpack 18-wheeler that ran over the Tarheels today, said to be headin' towards Raleigh as we speak....." Something to those lines....really lame, but caught me off-guard when I was listening to the news. I definitely didn't expect him to say some shit like that. Guess he's a Wolfpack fan!

Gunzz; your thinking of Andrew Carter who wrote for the Tech. and now is a beat writer for FSU. The guy who wrote that crap is Andrew Jones a dumb, fat-ass Carolina homer that writes for the Wilmington Star.
