I'm not saying Martin did anything wrong. But it's kind of hard to place wrong doing on Zimmerman without any proof of wrong doing. It's not illegal for Zimmerman to stop Martin to question him. But for all I know Martin could have been on the defense and when Zimmerman caught up to him he got pissed and started kicking his ass. But without knowing who threw the first punch, it's hard to assign blame.

By listening to the 911 call Zimmerman made, and the time between Zimmerman saying that Trayvon has taken off running and the time it takes him to get out of his car to start following him, which we can identify by the sound of his car beeping when he opens the door, Trayvon has a pretty good head start on Zimmerman.

Based on their body types, and the fact that Trayvon was also a football player, I don't think any non biased or ignorant person is going to deny the fact that Trayvon could have EASILY outrun Zimmerman and lost him if he wanted to.

The fact that he didn't leads me to think one of two things happened.

Trayvon stopped running and waited for Zimmerman and confronted him.

Or doubled back on Zimmerman and Trayvon confronted him.



Remember, in the 911 call ZImmerman says he has lost sight of him and has no clue where he is, so it's not like he was right on his tail.

If Trayvons goal was to just run back to his dads house, he would have been able to easily.

Sanford police released information detailing how Trayvon was shot, and they wouldn't dare lie about that one knowing that forensics/autopsy would easily replicate what happened. Forensics will also easily show that Trayvon was shot from an upward angle as described by Zimmerman, meaning that it wasn't a "running away and got fatigued" thing.

If the prosecutor knows that there isn't enough evidence to convict him, its better to arrest him and let him go to trial and be found not guilty, than to not arrest him or charge him and have to deal with the racial fallout from that.

Regardless, based on the most recent pics of both, Zimmerman looks pretty in shape and i bet he was bigger than stronger than Martin in every way except height, and allegedly has had some self defense training.

Based on what is know Zimmerman would have had the upper hand in a fight and also has episodes of violence in his past and clearly has issues with making good judgements.

The only thing Martin really had against him is being black, and smoking pot.

I've argued this case with a bunch of black people at work.

Hell, one didn't even know that Zimmerman had followed Trayvon.

When I told him that Zimmerman was just following him the black guy I work with responded

"You follow my ass for no reason you're gonna get your ass beat"

To which I told him that is probably the EXACT thing Trayvon thought trying to be all hardcore and he ended up picking a fight with the wrong person that night.

I also tried to explain to him that his reasoning of "beating someones ass for just following them" is basically what Zimmerman is saying happened and why at some point he felt the need to use deadly force to defend himself.

To which my coworker called me stupid and basically ended the conversation and left because he finally realized that he made a fucking fool out of himself.
