I seem to recall a lot of the public questioning it and against it. I'm pretty there were multiple TWWers that felt this way. But what are we gonna do?

It's almost like the President can do whatever wants in this country with few personal ramifications or guardrails, and the whole system has relied on people acting in moderately good faith for 250 years.
