what did everyone have for independence day?

since we're on the third floor (no grilling), and my brother had the day off for once, he made buttermilk fried chicken. i fixed arabic potato salad (olive oil, lemon, scallions, parsley, garlic), a fresh, lettuce-less salad, and oven roasted corn on the cob. OM NOM NOM.

there's also mixed berry crisp with vanilla ice cream waiting to be eaten.
