Shit I am going to lose on one team because I had Sage Rosenfels and my opponent had Tyler Thigpen. WTF?

So many players laid eggs today....good to see Colston back though.

How would you guys rank these 3 QBs for the rest of the season: Peyton, Romo, Warner?

well, lets look at the schedules starting week 11....

Warner:

at Seattle - Huge Game
NY Giants - Really, Really Tough Game
at Philadelphia - Tough Game, but their secondary is overated
St. Louis - Huge Game
Minnesota - Huge Game
at New England - Big Game
Seattle - Most playoffs are over by now (and Warner will probably sit b/c of clinched division)

Manning:

Houston - Huge Game
at San Diego - Huge Game in a shootout. SD's D is terrible this year
at Cleveland - Huge Game
Cincinnati - Huge Game
Detroit - Huge Game
at Jacksonville - Big Game
Tennessee - Again, few FF championships are decided this week, but Manning could have a good game against a second string D

Romo:

at Washington - Very Tough game to come back too. Low expectations
San Francisco - Huge Game
Seattle - Huge Game
at Pittsburgh - Low Expectations
NY Giants - Mediocre Game (Giants give him trouble lately)
Baltimore - Secondary isn't great, but this is a tough, tough D. Mediocre Game.
at Philadelphia - Tough Game, this could decide the 2nd wildcard in the NFC.

So..

1. Manning
2. Warner (could be 1a because of tendency to throw so much)
3. Romo

Manning gets it by a nose from here on out. Warner is close, Romo is a distant 3rd.

Min
NYJ
Tampa

Which of these 2 d's would you want to stick with for the rest of the season? (We have to play two each week)

Minn and Tampa are who I drafted, but the NYJ's have come up big for me the last two weeks as a bye filler. Minnesota has just been so inconsistent for me is the problem. The way my roster is looking though after losing Torain and not really too many good options, I could stick with 3 d's and play matchups, though I don't want to have to do that.

^I'd just stick with Tampa honestly, Minny's D is overrated & the Jets are the definition of hit or miss

See if there's a team in your league looking for some D & ee if you can trade them away for something

Have a quick trade question:

Here are my starters:

QB: Jay Cutler
RB: Brian Westbrook
RB/WR: Tim Hightower
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Dwayne Bowe
TE: Antonio Gates
(kicker and defense change week to week so it doesn't matter)
On my bench I have:
Earnest Graham,
Vincent Jackson,
Braylon Edwards
Deuce McAllister
Dominic Rhodes..

with all that being said: What do you guys think about me trading away Earnest Graham and Dwayne Bowe to get Terrell Owens?
Should I try to get another starting running back instead?

alright good people, plz assist me with my WR quandry:

I must choose 3:

Steve Breaston - @ Sea
Antonio Bryant - Min
Isaac Bruce - Stl

Torry Holt - @ SF
Brandon Stokley - @Atl

I guess my main problem is i'm getting sick of Torry's bs... so do I start the triple B's?

This is a weird answer, but if Steven Jackson plays this weekend, I do like Torry Holt.

If he doesn't go, I like the 3 you have starting.

ok, here's a trade i've thrown around in one of my leagues, a league where i'm in prime position to make a deep run, and don't want to fuck with things too much

2 rb spots, 3 wr spots, no flex, ppr.

currently:

(qb)
delhomme
quinn

(not doing so hot at qb, but we'll see with quinn)

(rb)
marshawn lynch
forte
slaton
ronnie brown
stecker (meh)

(wr)
andre johnson
brandon marhsall
vincent jackson
marvin harrison
a revolving door of waver wire guys

Have a proposed trade for Smitty for marshawn lynch.

he's hurting bad at RB, and stacked at wr.. this however would my my wr core stout, and a little thin on rb. i'm not too sold on the concept of only having 1 remaining non-rb by committee guy, but lynch hasn't been putting up spectacular numbers anyways, but until the last two weeks has been a consistant 75 yards + 1td with a few receptions scattered in.

The bills schedule on gets tougher, but of course so does the panthers.. but smitty still performs (except for when delhomme decides to put up a game like last week)

It seems like a no-brainer, but idk, want to make sure he's not playing off my panthers bias ... what says yous

^trade slaton instead, he'll hit the rookie wall soon, not to mention their schedule gets tougher the back end of the season

as for that trade, I may do it, seems like a balanced trade, but I try to make trades that favor me

I say winning a championship is about the best starting lineup, not the deepest bench.

Who cares if it leaves you thin.

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.

Make the trade. Lynch is overrated, and you would still have Forte, Brown and Slaton to rotate around based on matchups.

agreed. and big receivers absolutely kill the Chiefs.

Vincent Jackson, Brandon Marshall, and others have all had big games against them b/c of their small corners.

Bench Calvin, start Colston.

Colston should be your #1 WR right now. He's back and will score tons of points this week. I'd play Colston, Smith, Royal, Johnson, Wayne in that order.

Man I'd kill to have that as my WR corp.

Wayne last?

What are you smoking?

The Colts have a very favorable schedule from here on out.

I have Colston, Wayne, Burress, Curtis, and Breaston.

I'll likely be starting Colston, Wayne, and Breaston for the rest of the year.

My work league has a wonky setup where we have 12 teams split into three divisions of 4 teams each

Each of the three Division champs gets in the playoffs, plus one wildcard

West
Lambeau 4-6-0
TDJake 4-6-0
mytchew 4-6-0
GoinPos 3-7-0

Central
ChiefRu 6-4-0
Romonia 6-4-0
HighRol 6-4-0
morecow 4-5-1

East
Rawhide 7-3-0
moosema 7-3-0
Booders 5-4-1
goldrus 3-7-0

So even at 4-6, I still have a solid shot at the playoffs

no offense, but that's a crap setup, because you can be a shit team and still make it, even though there are several better teams. i'd be really pissed if some under .500 team made it but i didn't and was a few games over .500.

thus the 'wonky' in my first sentence

I didn't set it up, but I'm not blind to the facts that whoever makes it from our division will be somewhat undeserving

But then again, whoever wins the AFC West will be somewhat undeserving as well

Curious what kind of setup you guys have for your 12-team leagues. Ours is head-to-head, 13 weeks reg season, 6 teams make playoffs. Playoffs last 3 weeks, first is a BYE for the top two teams.

Basically you play 2 teams twice and everyone else once. I'm a bit agitated b/c I'm 3rd overall in points for, but tied for 6th (2nd overall PA). I just got unlucky with the schedule. Are there any leagues that take both record and overall point total (possibly as a wild-card) into place?

our only exception for highest point total is a payout.

12x$200 to get in, $4/transaction for the season.

$200 to highest point total, rest of pot split with the top 3 playoff finishers.

what i dont like is that we do divisonal playoff spots, 6 team flights, 3 teams in per flight, instead of overall record.

ahhhh, decisions, decisions.

Burress v Baltimore (he seems to be getting phased out)
Curtis v Cincy (they continually spread the wealth)
Breaston v Sea (a #3 WR, but the team throws to him often)

I'm leaning Breaston.

Tell me why or why not.

^As to Wayne last, I was meaning for this week. I think Houston's D will limit him to single digit points...

I think Baltimore's D mean that Burress is out...so it's really between Curtis and Breaston. Both have good matchups, but my gut tells me that Breaston is the better play.

This post is kind of sad.

But I have to start thinking about keeper for next year.

I have LT who has been my keeper for a while now but this year is starting to have me guessing on him and the SD offense in general.

Then this year I drafted Brees and he has been lights out and probably my best fantasy player all year.

And recently T. Jones has started to emerge but I'm not sold on him, especially if Favre wasn't to come back.

So who to keep:
LT or Brees?

AND he's injured?

I dropped Big Ben for Pennington last week as my backup. Warner is my starter.

I wouldn't start Ben for anything right now.
