Eh, Duke has Thornton who will likely be back next year and they're recruiting another PG for 2016 harder than DSJr is what the rumor is. Not saying they aren't still recruiting DSJr, think they know they'll need to have another option ready.

he didn't necessarily say he wasn't considering them. he was quoted as saying Bo leaving definitely affects his decision making process.

and the Smith/Bam thing as far as I've read is just the quote from Bam saying that playing with an elite point guard was a big factor for him - implying him and Smith are a package.

I think the Bam is a package deal with DSJr came from a response Bam had to a question about what type of player he'd want to play with at the next level. He basically said something along the lines of wanting to play with a "great PG" and then he said "like Cat Barber or Dennis Smith Jr." Thus why so many NC State fans lost it and thought that meant we were his leader and that he was a package deal.

yeah - bam and DSJR probably aren't a definite "package" - but much like TJW, Purvis, and Lewis all loved playing together and CJL, Zo, and Harrow did too...I'm sure it may influence their decisions. I certainly hope it does, for our sake.
