Somehow enjoying Wizard melee build. Really wish I wasn't so stubborn about it - I have 16k dps displayed and do more damage then when I was kiting crap with 37k dps. Wicked Wind is stupid good. Need 16+ AP on crit and 35% crit, but other then that I just load up on armor/resist. Can still die from getting Fire chains clotheslined. Also Arcane sentries and Frost balls are stupid hard to see with spell graphics and I wish they made that shit layer above other graphics

I usually enjoy an online and pvp element with games.

Torchlight is one I keep hearing good things. I don't really love loot games on their own I like the loot combined with a competitive or pvp element. There hasn't been a good pvp rpg or mmo game in sometime it seems. D3 has the foundation for great pvp but I know they will screw it up.

Yeah I dont think Torchlight will be big on PvP. I've been playing league of legends a little bit again the past week, but I'm not sure you would like that one (you didnt seem to like Sotis very much in SC).

Played TL2 beta, far better than D3 for single player. Feels like one giant mephrun/pindlerun. Was no PVP in the beta at all though.

Still no release date for TL2 then?

TL1 doesn't have online, so no need to even check it out if PvP is your thing. TL1 was okay but got old really fast. Even though the dungeons were randomly generated they were still all pretty much the exact same. That and the bosses never felt epic, just minor bumps in the road. Still, I have high hopes for TL2. I'm hoping it will have a bit more variety than "squares" with the level layout. Hopefully the bosses will be memorable as well.

based on ur comments titan id def recommend giving gw2 a try then. theres not a huge gear escalation in pvp, but its pretty solid overall. plus no monthly sub so ur only out 60 worst case.

So the are a bunch of people (by that I mean its happened twice) that are public game hopping and giving 20k gold away to random people in games. I've wondered if these are botters who give away gold to a bunch of people to make it more difficult for Blizzard to track their money trail.

Any ideas, or am I looking into this too far?
The last person that jumped in a game to do this started cursing us out when we declined to accept gold from him.

I think the obvious answer is no. Blizzard doesn't track their money trail, nor do they care about where the money goes. People have been publicly selling gold on the battle net forums since the game came out. Wouldn't be hard for them to follow the money trail there. Blizzard will do a bot ban wave every few weeks, at which point all the botters making significant amounts of money will buy a new account and start over, consider it a bot tax. Most of the guys who were making tons of money off auction house bots said they would be fine with getting banned once a day, as long as they knew it was happening on a cycle and not randomly.

20k is basically nothing to anyone botting, let alone the big chinese bot farms. I had one bot going per day and I didnt care even when I lost 1m+ for various stupid reasons. Most people botting are running 4+ bots, and the gold websites are probably running 100+. For them 1b gold is nothing.

just found that in an Act 1 Inferno Run. The Warden dropped it. Sadly it reduces the cost of Impale and I've NEVER used Impale. It does have 3 sockets however.

Gave the game one last shot.

I had sold off almost all my stuff. Decided to take the 40 million I had and give act 3 one last shot. Spent all but 60k, promptly died to arcane speed phase beasts, closed the game and will not play again.

lol, blizzard really pisses me off with their updates. Its not so much the updates, as their expectation of when the servers will be back up. EVERY tuesday they say, "Expect the Servers to be back up at 11 AM PDT!" only to get on there at 11 AM PDT and see, "We expect the servers to be back up at 1 PM PDT!"

^Game is so bad, not sure how you keep playing. I've hung on a bit here at the end simply to milk some money out of my last 2 monk sets and because I have no other game to play at the moment. Once my DPS set and my MF set are gone I'm uninstalling the game. I was going to do it a bit ago but then I made a few $$ and ended up making 2 new sets to try to sell again.

I'm going with GW2 as my next game to try. PoE was cool but I think GW2 is going to be really solid.

Until then back to SC2 I guess.
