so we'll be playing a team we already beat in the divisional round: 4(WAS), 5(GB) or 6(SEA). I'd much rather have not had to worry about SEA as a 6 seed but it is what it is.
1/3/2016 11:41:45 PM
1:00 kickoff on the 17th
1/3/2016 11:48:19 PM
Seattle doesn't really scare me too much and I look forward to playing them for the 37th time in 4 years
1/4/2016 12:13:47 AM
And though I think the impact of a west coast team playing at 1 Eastern is overblown, it can't hurt our chancesStill, I'm on Team Bridgewater next weekend and hoping we get the Packers or Skins

1/4/2016 2:36:07 AM
^ Damn, a little warning first, haven't even had coffee yet. I knew there was a reason they weren't showing any replays or even showing the lower half of his body on the stretcher but had kind of forgotten since it was the first play of the game.
1/4/2016 5:57:13 AM
that injury to Ron Jovorskie was awful.
1/4/2016 9:07:12 AM
1/4/2016 12:32:06 PM
ACL tear for Tillman, which probably means his career is oversuch a bummer. he was so valuable when healthy.
1/4/2016 2:05:29 PM
Yeah. Weird he freaked out when White dove at his knee last week.
1/4/2016 2:56:10 PM
yeah, i hate that for Tillman. I was really hoping he would have been able to make it through the playoffs. We had a lot more success on pass rush with Ealy on the edge yesterday than CJ. With that injury i think we'll see even more of Ealy and Addison.
1/4/2016 3:36:16 PM
Schedule for next year is out. Looks ROUGHhttp://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/18328/2016-carolina-panthers-home-and-away-opponents-determined
1/4/2016 9:41:44 PM
I might take a drive up north for the Oakland game.
1/5/2016 1:20:20 AM
Giants suck.
1/5/2016 1:29:21 AM
Cool, we could play all three LA teams
1/5/2016 8:58:12 AM
Do you guys think we promote someone in house if McDermott gets a head coaching job? You'd have to think it would be an easier transition since Rivera won't want to change too much scheme-wise
1/5/2016 1:02:37 PM
could see Wilks getting the opportunity. But he's never been a coordinator so i'm not real sure.
1/5/2016 1:12:55 PM
If Shula goes, I think Dorsey would be the most logical replacement, but he's still fairly young. Would love to see Proehl get a shot at some point, but that's probably a few years away.
1/5/2016 1:16:12 PM
Honestly would rather keep Shula than McDermott.
1/5/2016 2:04:12 PM
Has Proehl expressed any interest in a larger role? I know he was originally brought in to consult and help a mediocre receiving corps. I figured he stayed on more out of convenience for both parties than anything
1/5/2016 3:43:16 PM
McDermott is a great coach, but this is Ron Rivera's defense and both of them coached under Jim Johnson in Philadelphia. There won't be much if any drop off if he goes, Rivera will find someone with a similar philosophy and keep on rolling. Look at Seattle, they've led the league in defense under 3 different coordinators. Also he's not taking Kuechly with him.Shula getting considered for head coaching gigs is a testament to the kind of season Cam Newton has had. He's done a good job installing schemes tailored to Cam's unique talents but I honestly think the offense could benefit from a fresh set of eyes and bit more creativity. I don't think he's especially talented and will flame out as a head coach.
1/5/2016 6:30:02 PM
Kinda crazy to think but a 15-1 team may be the underdog in our playoff game
1/6/2016 12:30:35 AM
nope, panthers will probably be in the NFC champ game. put my money on it. but realistically? i doubt they'll hit the super bowl.
1/6/2016 2:20:45 AM
I'd rather lose to Seattle than lose to any of the other options. But I'd rather just not lose.
1/6/2016 2:37:04 AM
Finally beating Seattle in Seattle was "getting the monkey off our back", to lose to them in the playoffs...again, and this time at home...don't think that would be good for us. Need to keep that monkey off our back.Didn't we lose in our first playoff game the last time we had the bye? Where Arizona came to our place and smacked us around when were the #2 seed in the NFC? Don't want a repeat of that.
1/6/2016 7:59:53 AM
The Jake Delhomme "nail in the coffin" game. I think he threw five picks. Will the ghost of Jake haunt the Panthers next weekend?
1/6/2016 8:03:35 AM
1/6/2016 8:22:37 AM
^^^ we also lost our first game off a bye in 2012 (when Ric Flair betrayed us and backed the 49ers). byes have not historically been good to the Panthers (though this is only the fourth one), with the only win off a bye being the first one in 1996the playoff record against the NFC West is also abysmal with an 0-2 record against the Seahawks, 0-1 against the 49ers, 1-1 against the Cards, and 1-0 against the Rams (compared to 5-1 vs the rest of the NFC)
1/6/2016 8:38:36 AM
This Seattle team is rated one of the greatest regular season teams in nfl history and they're playing off the charts right now.I just don't see our pass rush and secondary holding up..Seattle 33-20
1/6/2016 9:23:27 AM
I say 30-24 Panthers over Redskins
1/6/2016 10:58:01 AM
That game in Minnesota Sunday is suppose to have a high of 0 degrees, so hopefully Russ freezes his tits off and their passing game is far less effective.
1/6/2016 11:56:40 AM
Implying Jesus is afraid of the cold. Do you know how easy it is to walk on water when it's frozen?
1/6/2016 1:10:04 PM
Depends on how much his receivers want to catch the ball. With that temp, the football is going to be like catching a brick and the ground is going to be like getting tackled on concrete.
1/6/2016 3:29:08 PM
Thought Minnesota played in a dome?
1/6/2016 3:35:17 PM
^This year they have been playing at University of Minnesota's stadium while the new Vikings stadium is being built. It is an outdoor stadium and I heard this AM on Mike&Mike that it is forecast to be the coldest playoff game in NFL history.
1/6/2016 3:43:51 PM
This was posted on the Panther's facebook page. Fantastic.https://www.facebook.com/CarolinaPanthers/videos/1104092719603733/
1/6/2016 4:58:58 PM
^^ No way in history. The Ice bowl was far below zero and the wind chill in a Bengals playoff game in the 80's was around -55

[Edited on January 6, 2016 at 5:57 PM. Reason : "one of the coldest"]

Kevin Greene is a candidate for the hall Of fame this year per The internets. Dude will always be one of my all-time favorite panthers (him being a wrestler helped lol).
1/7/2016 9:05:35 PM
Favre is a lock. I hope Warner doesn't make it. Overrated. Always had a bunch of All Pro wideouts.
1/7/2016 9:11:53 PM
Warner will make it.
1/8/2016 8:58:26 AM
I hope the Vikings beat the bricks off the Seahawks. Would much rather face Teddy Two Gloves than that religious zealot Russell Hustle Bustle Wilson.
1/8/2016 11:12:37 AM
If the Vikes win, probably wouldn't see them at all these playoffs. Would definitely rather see the Panthers play the Packers/Redskins winner than the Seahawks though.
1/8/2016 11:52:02 AM
SIX on the first team. Olsen and Short on 2nd team.http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article53719465.html]
1/9/2016 3:20:56 PM
Panters open at -2.5. all of the public $$$ will bet it down to a pick em, probably.
1/10/2016 4:48:26 PM
SEA's run game looked bad today. Any chance Lynch plays next week?
1/10/2016 5:04:24 PM
^^^^^^^ You kidding me, Warner overrated. Dude went from bagging groceries to a two time MVP and took two different franchises to the Super Bowl, winning one. Probably greatest rags to riches story in the history of sports![Edited on January 10, 2016 at 5:41 PM. Reason : Because]
1/10/2016 5:40:24 PM
It helps when you start with Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt (and Marshall Faulk). Marc Bulger looked pretty elite with those weapons. Then he had to settle for Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.
1/10/2016 5:41:45 PM
is Joan Stewart playing next week? that'll be a huge x-factor
