Considering we are a tournament team every year, it has been fucking pathetic and seems to get worse with each passing year. Student section is embarrassing now. It is not even hard at all to get tickets. USA was Sunday night and on national television. What excuse is there to not coming? What kills me is the corporations that buy all the best seats on the side and they are empty for 75% of the games.

The only games that actually fill the seats are when we play UNC or Duke. Would be nice if the seats for unscanned tickets could be first come first serve for present ticket holders at a certain point in the game or at halftime but no idea how that could be implemented. Maybe electronically reassigned by request

I don't think the opener had much to do with it.

The fact that Gott has essentially put zero big guys in the NBA probably has a lot more to do with it.

And the fact that Cal can reel off a litany of former big men that got drafted high: Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, Towns, Noel, WCS, etc

Bam bought into the hype that Calipari is the reason that Randle, Davis, and Towns were lottery picks. Those guys could have taken the year off from basketball and still been lottery picks.

Really glad DSJr signed his paperwork now, hopefully he can work with Gott to find us some new targets, though I think it was generally assumed that landing Bam was required to land Alkins or Azu.

I know it sounds like sour grapes, but Bam doesn't seem like a great fit for the high-low offense. You have to have some ability to shoot and pass, and those things are major weaknesses for him. Sure he could develop offensively in a few years, but this guy is one and done all the way.

That said, he's a beast and I would have loved to have him.

I have to agree with him on the UK hateability scale. I hate the one-and-done team building thing more than just about anything else in college sports and although Duke has gotten on board as of last year, UK was the pioneer. Cal is also a slimy mofo and I am convinced he is cheating still. I was downright filled with glee at the team a few years ago with bubbleguts failing to make the tourney.

i kinda don't mind calipari. yeah, he's probably cheating. but so are lots of other coaches. doesn't make it right, but it definitely doesn't make me hate him.

sucks about bam...still plenty of time to make this class really strong. with a guard as good as DSJ, i'm sure that'll be a huge selling point to other recruits.
