marko you're just in it for the gimmicks

not sure i'd be into any movie for the gimmicks

doesn't make much sense

hey, our plot sucks, our filmmaking sucks in general, but at least we have gimmicks

booo on yuo

sure i'm in it simply for the industrial/character design

you can call it "gimmicks"...but it's more involved than that

ITS A TRAP

i saw sky captain for the same reason

to look at the set design and giant robots

and then to think about how they went about making it

p.s. i think you're missing some verbs or something in your above statement

i think i'm missing some punctuation and some capitalizations too

blah

there's nothing special about how they've designed anything in the prequels.

unless you're some fuck who cant decipher that the clone fags are the storm troopers

my rationale is that their suck and their ability to be easily deceived comes from the suck of the prequels.

to each his own, but i cant understand how you like these things on any level. let alone on a "design" pov.

i don't think he means plot design

i think he means artistic design

like everything in the prequels is round and curvy and elegant looking

everything in the originals is industrialized, mass produced stuff with corners and not so pretty looking

sorry to harass you like i do everybody else marko. just disagreeing. i think anything they went about making was on a computer and it stayed that way. that's something i'm not particularly fond of in these prequels...

"McGregor Slams 'Star Wars II'

Star Wars star Ewan McGregor has attacked the penultimate movie in the sci-fi series, insisting Episode II: Attack Of The Clones was "unsatisfactory". It's not the first time the Scottish actor has criticized the George Lucas- directed franchise - he dubbed Episode I: The Phantom Menace "disappointing" following its release in 1999. But McGregor - who plays Obi Wan Kenobe - is far happier with the final movie, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, which premieres in May. McGregor says, "The fighting in Episode II was unsatisfactory, I think. I don't think the fight was nearly as good as it should have been and I certainly didn't have as big a crack of the whip as in the first one. I made up for it in number three. We fight our a**ses off in that film." "

well actually...

the ep3 trailer (for whatever reason) is already being shown in Peru and Mexico. People have audio and video clips of it (see thread: http://www.millenniumfalcon.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3219). It's not a direct link, so if you want it, you'll have to search

I wouldn't recommend it because it's
1. piss poor video quality (I think it was off of a cell phone)
2. in spanish (although people have tried to dubbed it)
3. authentic trailer comes out on thursday

After watching this show (which has been about 50% commercials), I start wondering to myself why I'm supposed to know who Mischa Barton is. She's not all that in terms of looks or acting ability. Why is she always in the media?!

I figure the trailer will be on at the 45 minute mark to ensure we watch most of the show.

I'm trying to remain spoler free for Episode III.

I tried to stay that way for I and II but I accidentally came across spoilers in other sources: Qui-Gon's death in Ep I and Shmi's death in Ep II. I think I saw a semi-spoiler for Ep III, however I hope it's vague enough to be deceptive.

BTW--the Episode III site is overloaded right now.

ok, that was just fucking hot!

I have been in media blackout until this trailer and I am now totally ready for this flick. Is it possible that it will live up to expectations?? Of all the prequels, this is the only one that Lucas HAS to get right. It all has been leading up to this film.

George, please don't disappoint me.

on a side note, tune into 60 Minutes on sunday for a story about it.

considering some of the choices he has made in regards to the SW films of late (both prequels and some of the changes in the sp. ed.) I dont think he would have to try that hard. Just make the movie for the movie and not for the toys and I will be happy.
