I finally saw this movie today at the $1.50 theater. this was one of those movies i wanted to see since i heard about it, but never was able to in the 'main' theaters.

i liked it. i haven't read the comic, and probably won't, but i enjoyed the movie. i was a little confused, like someone else said in this thread, about the prison stuff. yes, the lighting made it pretty obvious that was V interrogating her, but yeah, the torture, drowning etc, I thought looked like a normal guy.

I thought the kiss at the end was super cheesy, and the dancing was sorta cheesy too. the end, i was a little unsatisfied about. i mean, yes it basically signified a new beginning for england, but i guess, to me, it just tied things up a little too neatly. the last fight scene was quite good.

i'd say 7.5/10

Anybody getting the DVD tomorrow? I had it on my Netflix queue and somehow had something return this morning and they had already gotten V in the distribution center, so I am getting it sent to me and will be the first one to watch it tomorrow when I get home from work. Pretty excited.

Yea we sat down and watched it last night. I was very impressed. A few questions were left unanswered, but for the most part, very good!

I didnt get any of the special editions, just the standard widescreen...

is it just me or was the mixing really bad?

like, it was difficult to hear/make out some of the dialogue, esp. v's.

yeah I noticed that too in some parts. He spoke too fast in some parts for me to get it all, and in other parts it sounded like his voice was muffled - like he was behind a mask, so I dont know if that was for effect or what

ok, seriously, how the hell is he going to afford 200,000 masks and cloaks, that much explosive materials, and actually get the fireworks to go off exactly in a V fashion.

I went into this movie expecting realism and I was sadly disapointed

he said he was planning this whole thing for 10+ years, plus he was a pretty good thief (stole all the artwork and food) so I'm sure it wasnt too hard to get the masks and fertilizer/explosive material

nah, it says Fertilizer on the bags in the train car...and during the tv studio scene the detectives said that it would be hard to trace any of the explosives cause it was all materials that can be bought over the counter

fucking great movie.

that end fight scene was ill, gave me that old giddy feeling after he got shot up and then slowly rose up and went crazy with the blades.

also liked the dominoes scene meshed with all else that was goin on.
