^^^ I'm a huge State fan because I graduated from here but I have no ties to the state so I don't even really hate UNC. No big deal.. doesn't make me any less of a fan. I'm just different because I don't judge seasons based on 1 football game and 2 bball games. I'd much rather win in the long run then win a game against UNC so I'm not going to jump off a bridge if we lose. That is all I meant..

I'll be absolutely ecstatic if we win tonight though obviously..

V almost all of us are graduated and have jobs w/ some downtime..

In NC this year, this game is bigger than the Duke/UNC game. I dont give a fuck who you are. There are more State/UNC people that interact with each other on a daily basis in this state and some surrounding areas than Duke/UNC. UNC can handle losing to Duke this year, this game would hurt a LOT more.

Plus you gotta realize, UNC might need this game to make the tournament. Of course, they will get in because of the media mouthification, but they still have work to do.

It's just been slow at work the last couple of days.... I'm an alum who is just really wanting everyone pumped up for this game. I have been doing calcs and markups the last few days, so I have a little spare time to keep up with tdub....

NyM, I wasn't trying to infer that you were any less of a fan, just trying to play up the emphasis of this game. We need it to reestablish the natural order around the triangle, and to impress the national media. Most media outlets haven't gotten off UNC's balls since early in the season. Any other team with their record and wins wouldn't be ranked, but somehow they are.

Yea I agree this is huge for our program though. We simply need to beat one of the two other triangle teams and start doing it more often. This would be a pretty big win for Herb as well..

Ya know what. You're right. This game actually is bigger then I'm giving it credit for this year. We need to win this to solidify the 2 seed too! Good point..

They could potentially lose out if they lose tonight. They wont, but they could. The freshman are also likely to hit a wall at some point, so if they start a losing streak, they might not win a tournament game. They wont get in on a 5 game losing streak.
