i don't think he's going to scare off Wilson. we've given Wilson the chance to play both football and baseball, and that was one big determining factor for why he committed to us. besides a kid confident enough in his ability doesn't worry about anyone but himself, and work hard to gain the starting spot.

If ain't a lineman at this point i don't give too fucks. GET THOSE LINEMEN IN OUR BELLEY.

QB's important too, but I think Justin Burke will be a solid one.

Nobody officially answered the question... Does anybody have any proof that Beck is coming to NC State (link, publications, etc... would be REALLY nice)...

you annoying fucker, go away

this is a message board, you are going to "officially" hear a lot of rumors/speculation, you don't come here for proof, that is on espn, and scout, and real news sources

TWW is no place for you and your demands of proof

it's funny how most of the comments say that amato's as good as fired.

Well, then, that's really good news for the Wolfpack!

3 years of eligibility with him beginning in 2007 is pretty darn good

^^^

WolfMiami, that is no way to talk on TWW, I was just asking for a source that's all...

i didn't think anyone was as hard on amato as we are... but these nebraska (of all places) fans are really laying it on him.

i find it funny that Nebraska fans are talking crap. i mean yeah i respect their program for being a historic college football power, but they haven't been that relevant in the most recent years.

it all kind of goes back to the fact that Bill Callahan has no business being a head coach anywhere

Now we just need our wide receivers to start stock piling like these running backs and now quarterbacks are for us.... It's just a matter of time.

You do realize the reason he left was because he was third string and wasn't getting any snaps because a rs freshman was the backup. I'm not saying he won't be a good quarterback, I'm just not exactly thrilled about this.

N&blOw report on it.

Quote :
"Bill Callahan told me Harrison had a better arm than anyone he had when he coached in the NFL. The offense they run at Nebraska is the same as the one at State, so it should be an easy move for [Beck]."

They should take every recruit to this spot when they make their visit.

Rodney Cox out of Harnett Central says we're recruiting him the hardest. He's a 6'6" QB that everyone is recruiting at WR. He has us and Florida listed at High Interest, but UF has not offered while we have.

Hopefully UF doesn't offer, b/c his school runs the spread-option style offense that Meyer employs.

He runs a pretty slow 40. I'm kinda curious how he would pan out as a receiver.

^?

4.69 is not slow for a guy thats 6'6", and many times these players play faster than their 40 times. I guarantee that Calvin Johnson doesnt run a 4.4, but he's tall and strong as shit, so he makes up for it.

Johnson had 4.5 speed in high school, but I think that was when he weighed 210 or so....he's listed at 235 right now. I'd guess that he's around 4.6 or 4.7 now, but he doesn't have to run fast to be effective.

^^Hello. We have big recievers with 10% of CJ's ability. And they may pan out to be good once we see them play.

I'm not looking it up now, but I seem to remember that at least 2 of our WR recruits for this year were like 6'6" or over.

Sammy Batten has released his top 50 with UNC WR commit Dwight Jones #1. Whats funny is that in the linked interview he talks about how he ranked Dwight Jones 1 because he feels like he will play a lot as a freshman but then later points out that UNC WRs are garbage and THAT's why he will see a lot of time.

Mooresville DE/TE J.R. Sweezy committed today.

Quote :
"Sweezy informed Pack Pride that he committed to NC State defensive coordinator Steve Dunlap this morning.

"Yes sir, I just committed to NC State," he said. "I called coach Dunlap to let him know I was going to play there for him. He was really excited about it.

"I wanted to do it before my season, and I knew it was the place I wanted to go all along.""

Ht: 6-5 Wt: 245 40: 4.77

Sweezy tallied 115 tackles as a junior playing linebacker for Mooresville but projects to play along the defensive line in college.
