Packer quoted some other guy with regards to Brown's interest in coaching at State. I don't know if it's true or not, but if it is, it's very interesting to say the least, and shoots down the chicken little nonsense that State won't ever be able to get a better coach than Herb.

if the fans succeeded in forcin herb into accepting a job somewhere else, i wouldn't have a problem with brown coaching here (yes, of course that would never happen in million years, this is merely a rebuttal to wolf). i don't care where he's from, he's an excellent coach that has won championships with multiple teams. hell the fact that he's from the tarheel pedigree would motivate him to beat them more.

I'm a herb supporter and even if I wasn't, he's not going anywhere, but just for argument's sake I think that Wichita State's coach would be a good guy to bring in.

^ People don't get it. It isn't just about this year, it is about 10 years of the same old same old and only marginal improvment. The last few weeks have just been a way of showing that A) Herb can't beat our rivals B) Herb has had no record of post-season success and C) Herb is a mediocre coach who cannot bring State out of mid-tier status. All three have been occuring over 10 years they just were also displayed in rapid succession over the past 7 games.

we are one of only two teams in the acc to have even made the ncaa tournament 5 straight years. you will never be satisfied with our achievements. when we do win the ACC you'll say it should have been done sooner, etc.
