for the 360 you had to put $50 down...since theres gonna be very few ps3's i bet they make you buy like a $1000 package...like ebgames tried to do with ps2 on launch...

^ebgames did force customers into a 2 or 3 games (out of a scant group of launch titles) and and extra controller deal to grant you the privilege of buying the original x-box when it first came out. The whole deal ran close to $500.

and yes, you can buy 30" HDTV's for that much, and YES, i purchased a dell 3ghz computer w/ 19inch lcd and a 6800 graphics card for 700.
