Plus, if you're going that route, you'd want to go to http://www.cheapsportscar.net/index.php since the book you mentioned focuses mainly on frame fabrication and uses lots of parts from cars that are common in the U.K. but expensive here, like MGs. The book from Keith at Flyin' Miata uses a Miata donor for the engine and drivetrain." |

Just read this thread for the first time.
I definitely haven't seen anything like it before, that's for sure.
Take it to the dragstrip and see what it will run... 10/31/2006 11:01:48 AM |

Well, the new injectors arrived yesterday, and all of the pintle caps were broken. Sent a message to the seller, and we will see what happens from there. Possibly before new years I will have time to put them in and get the car running agian. 12/20/2006 7:45:15 AM |

Hiro... That's the cold side... Nothing wrong with that if a pipe busts loose you just get a few hundred cfm of slightly heated fresh air blown in your face. 8/29/2014 10:38:20 AM |

usually the IC is in a cooler of ice water when it's inside the car though.. 8/30/2014 4:35:07 AM |

They dump the ice water straight into the inter cooler usually they also circulate water through a tank in the trunk full of ice. 8/30/2014 6:12:39 AM |

I've heard about submerging the IC in an ice chest before, but this one just seems to be sitting there. Can't really see the setup well, but i don't see fins. Is it air to air? It just looked incomplete. 8/31/2014 6:02:24 PM |

it's a water to air exchanger - there are probably ports on the same face as the intake piping connections. 8/31/2014 7:34:00 PM |

so you fill the tank on the right with ice water and the pump circulates it through the water side of the intercooler.
