it got so bad that

They did that because Christie Chorley threatened legal action against all of them.

Pronger started it all. The Oil did nothing.

Okay, but since when are the fans the organization? The fans didn't ask for a trade, either.

^^ I've got no problems with the trade request, but you said "what the Oil did to him." The Oil did less than nothing harmful. They're trying to fulfill his request.

I meant oil in general, i was speaking about the fans. The team did nothing to him, if you thought thats what i meant.

Cullen was a bad loss but I am a strong believer we can sign Mark Parrish out of LA for the same money we offered Matt. Here is another Islander connection with Lavi and JR has had his eye on him and targeted him in trades several times like he did with Stillman.

well, assuming weight is gone, that means we lost 2 centers. We're left with Staal, Brindamour, Vasicek.

he is not fragile, he just likes to take his time in recovery. hes cautious.

hasek is a one of the best. i garantee you he will find a very good team, i dont see him slowing down at all.

Don't know if it's accurate, but according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Southeast will play on the road against the Northwest this season, which means we will get to see the Pacific (Dallas, San Jose, Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Phoenix) at the RBC Center.

Hasek will move somewhere else, get hurt again, and give up on rehab for good. Gerber to Ottawa is a good signing for them, and they know better than any other team how good Gerber can be at slamming the door.

Saying you don't see Hasek slowing down is just dumb. Also, saying he is just "taking his time" recovering is dumb. You don't just "take your time" as your team is losing 10 goal games in the playoffs.

Canadian fans are to hockey what NC State fans are to college basketball, except more of them go to games.

Exactly how many years have followed every single thing hasek has said and done? How many comments have you heard coaches make about them?

Because if the answer is less then 5, or 5 less then ALL OF THEM, then you are 'dumb'. Though I think your narrow vocabulary skill speaks for itself.

Hasek's commitment to being a starting goalie in the NHL is a bit questionable. Combine this with the fact that's he's getting old, I can't imagine a team giving him a contract without a more than decent backup waiting in the wings.

For anyone who is interested, here are some of Chuck Kaiton's calls that I extracted from the highlight videos on the Hurricanes' website:

Eric Staal ties New Jersey in Game 2 with 3 seconds remaining

Rod Brind'Amour scores the winning goal in the final minute of Game 1 vs. Edmonton

Eric Staal ties Edmonton in Game 5
http://jonathanhawkins.net/edmonton_game5_staal.mp3

Justin Williams scores the Cup-clinching empty netter
http://jonathanhawkins.net/williams_clincher.mp3

Carolina wins the Stanley Cup

Hasek quit on the Sabres, the Wings, and the Senators. There's no reason to think he wouldn't do it again.
