Rooney and Scholes will both be banned for three matches against Charlton, Watford and Tottenham. I hope this does not lead to chealse having a huge lead after four games.

fucking rediculous.

they're just pickin on Roo now, makin an example of him.

Scholes, I can deal with.

Yeah, Scholes fucked up and went to ground for no good reason. But in either of their cases, a 3 game ban isn't warranted at all. That fucking Dutch ref just wanted to be a spoilsport and say "I got Rooney banned for three matches" so history doesn't forget him.

It's wrong, wrong, wrong.

Ole's in the squad for Norway tomorrow against Brazil.

Talk about a strange rivalry albeit a friendly.

Norway has never lost to Brazil.

"I have just spoken with (general manager) Uli Hoeness and he is absolutely clear that selling Owen Hargreaves is not an issue," said Bayern press officer Markus Horwick.

He has recently signed a three-year contract extension and will be fulfilling that deal."

Too bad for United, he would've been a perfect fit

I've got a feeling that with 2 weeks left, Hargreaves WILL be moving to Manchester. You can always expect posturing on the part of the holding team, it's so they can drive up the price.

Hargreaves would be a much better signing than Senna, and everyone at Old Trafford knows that, so they're much more likely to shell out money for him.

[Edited on August 16, 2006 at 2:41 PM. Reason : probably even better than Carrick]

was that Gerrard video made before the cup final against west ham. the goal he scored to tie it at 3 was sick and should be on there if it is not.

The SUN SWEARS that Hargreaves has already signed for ManU.

All the other papers are reporting that Bayern's only valued him at 17 million.

I will seriously do a dance of joy when they do sign him, especially after his play yesterday. The kid is a midfield monster, and it would allow them to play Carrick and Hargreaves together, push Scholes up into attack, a role he's much better suited for (I think), and it would benefit England to boot

Eh, I don't understand the languages at all but it works for me.

A lot of the games are in English too. I just checked the Barca game and there are English commentators.. I can't watch it since I"m at work though.

Charlton is the only club south of the Thames correct? I saw home games at West Ham and at Fulham (what a dump comparatively)..

The First Division (or whatever the hell they decide to call it this year) teams are Palace and Millwall?

disappointing start for liverpool, gerrard gets a bad penalty call in the box (was not a dive, however) and fowler nets the kick to secure a tie with sheffield

bolton v. spurs just starting

Newcastle looked shaky at times this morning but closed out Wigan pretty good 2-1.

Surprised at:

Portsmouth 3-0 Blackburn
Sheffield United 1-1 Liverpool
Arsenal 1-1 Aston Villa

Portsmouth lead the Premiership!

There are variable teams based on a few sites I saw. It seems it depends on where you draw the London boundary. Some other placed added in: Bury, Luton Town, and Wycombe Wanderers.

There used to be another London team that was professional, Wimbledon, and had some history they had won the FA Cup in the 1980s. Due to an American-style manuever where a guy bought the team and moved them to Milton Keynes. The former Wimbledon supporters started up their own team (AFC Wimbledon) and it will probably be in league football in 5-10 years.

Premiership teams in London:

Chelsea
Arsenal
Charlton
West Ham
Fulham
Tottenham Hotspur
Watford

Championship teams in London (2nd division):

Crystal Palace
Queens Park Rangers

League One teams in London (3rd division):

Brentford
Leyton Orient
Millwall

League Two teams in London (4th division):

Barnet

No, the Man U game is NOT on FSC tomorrow. It starts at 8:30, so your best bet is either that link NyM410 posted or to have the espn gametracker window open.

and the Reading game was awesome, a come from behind win, they went down 2-0 and scored 2 to tie it up before the break and 1 in the second period to win it.

Sky (owned by Rupert Murdoch, who owns the Fox Empire and is why FSC gets to show the Premiership) got 4 out of 6 TV packages for the Premiership. The other 2 were bought by Setanta Sports. So it could be that the Man U game is on Setanta.
