I know of a few good name brands like Vespa, Yamaha, Honda but was wondering if there were any other lesser known ones that are still good to keep an eye out for.

and I think a scooter would be pretty a fun/effective way to get to school and Harris Teeter

i have a full-size scooter that will be for sale shortly. i have to replace a busted throttle cable on it. it is a no-name scooter but i've pretty much replaced everything shitty with good stuff. it's got a zongshen 110cc engine with a 4-speed manual tranny w/ clutch. it'll run ~65mph. just in case you're interested.
