whereas if they are up 1,000 votes they will think they have it in the bag... just like on ebay where you let someone sit on their $12 bid and at the end snake them for $15.

i see what he is saying.

he means that if we slow play it, like in poker, slow play a big hand....slow play the votes and let the other team basically say well we can quit voting we have it in the bag. the on the last day EVERYONE vote like 3443232 times, enough to let us win it all, then the other team wont be able to make a quick recovery and we win by surprise. Kind of like in a marathon, pace urself let the others sprint ahead and then in the end your kick is a hell of a lot harder.

The thing is treetwista the voting tallies are not independent of each other...

If we all jsut went nuts and took a 3,000 vote lead the first day all it would do is make the other schools go "oh my god they're killing us, start voting harder!!!!!"

Whereas if they have a cozy 1,000 lead vote they will quit voting... no one is gonna sit there voting their face off when they have a huge lead.

Then on the last day just rail them for an hour straight instead of spending 30 minutes everyday the entire week...
