The Canes have just lost their steam. They are still trying to get used to the new players and re-work the lines. We lost a lot of great players due to trades. Plus that was one hell of an off season. Is that to say our steam won't come back; no way. Once we are off to a solid start and have all of our lines set and players condition we are gonna be great. We still have an excellent coach, strong captain, and an unstopable goalie. (Although getting married might have taken away some of his juice) The Canes are still the defending Champions and we can do it again, we just have to get our act together. I say it's good that we our getting these losses out of the way early on in the season so we can win more when it matters in playoff time.

trend won't stick, we started to pick up our style with the away game at washington, give it a couple (2, 3) more games and we should be on track. we are working with quite a few new people, and are definitely tryin to feel out some new lines

^^ I don't see what Cam has to do with tonight's loss. He had a pair of softies against Washington, but that's the only real weakness he's shown. He was excellent against Buffalo and made a bunch of outstanding lateral movement saves against Jersey.

One could argue that Cam's best save (in a vacuum) of last year was his glove save on Forsberg in the regular season.
