not trying to bash herb, but i really like having one of our own at the helm. didn't so much work w/ amato, but hopefully it'll work out for a while w/ lowe.

a lot of the herb hate is due to just not knowing anything about him other than what he did (or didnt) do here. with sidney we have some history to base some hopes upon.

at this point im happy with lowe, and im definetly willing to give him time
Im just hoping this doesnt turn out like amato, where we get some big wins, have a real good season in a couple years (see gator bowl year)
then rule the shitter
I really hope not, because I like Lowe, and I like where the team is going

^ I see the difference here being players.

When Amato got here, he had Rivers as a true freshman to mold and work with and put into the system he wanted to run.

With Lowe, he's got someone elses recruits, someone else's players, and most importantly a different type of player than he wants. He's already done some awesome stuff with an extremely SHORT bench. When he gets his players in here, we'll be back to winning 20+ games like we did with Herb, but we'll also be able to keep the energy up for the long fights with UNC and DUKE.

i'm really disappointed at how this year has turned out so far. i was hoping there would be some 25th anniversary magic

but Sid's got a few years left before i'm ready to give up on him

Herb has 6 Frosh, Sid has 5. Herb does not have two upperclassmen with skills/potential like Grant or Fells.

Pendergraph was the Pac-10 RotY has frosh season before Herb took over. He is probably better than anyone Lowe got.
