Now lets just hope Coach Lowe can COACH because he can obviously recruit very well.

NC State does not recruit for itself....see Les Robinson.

But people like Larry Harris do. Tracy Smith would not have committed if not for Larry Harris. Harris had about 90% of the contact to Smith from the rest of our coaching staff.

Give credit to Lowe for bringing Harris to the staff...but give credit to Harris for our recruiting success...because he deserves it.

i guarantee you any game in the herb era that was too close was low scoring. we can put the ball through the hoop throuhout the game.

switching man to man philosphies is tough. and a 3pt shooting team like wofford can really expose that they are a great 3pt shooting team. thats all they do

herb coached screens differently and if one guy plays the herb way while everybody else plays the lowe way its going to be 3pts against wofford. i talked to a guy on the elon staff and wofford is automatic shhooting. they will be a contender in the conference shooting like that

^^He was killing in the game where he fucked up his knee too. We were playing a higher-ranked Maryland team at the time in the RBC and beating them by 8 or so points and he was having a HUGE 1st half. Then he goes across the lane, shoots a mid-range jumper, and lands awkwardly on his foot and is never the same.

one thing though: lowe didn't have to work too hard to convince harris to stay in raleigh. his family is well rooted in the area, and they wanted to stay. also, being that our roster was so depleted, harris' son, simon, finally got the opportunity to transfer from elon university into the state program. simon harris has wanted to play for the 'pack since he was a little kid, and also to be coached by his dad. great story there.

Les Robinson's teams were on probation FYI, limited scholarships, etc etc. And he was 5-7 against Dean, a winning percentage of 41.66%. Find another coach who played dean ten times who has higher than that. I know he wasn't a good coach, just poastina few facts. I'd say K would be close but not quite to Les's percentage.

Seriously, this is a big commit, and I'd like to see it continue, especially with big men. However, I'd love to see Lowe go after a solid true PG and land him next season.
