didn't get to watch the game, but looking at the box score I see that Gavin was 4 assists and 1 turnover away from a triple double

Yeah Gavin played pretty rough, but he is out of position.

Nieman couldn't cover their guys out there tonight and only played 5 mintues in the 2nd half.

Does anyone else notice they don't even look to give Nieman the ball when he is in, he might as well not be out there. He is a better option than Horner right IMO. He is probably our best spot shooter but just doesnt get many looks.

My major concern is the fact that we're not subbing at all. That's going to be major problems once we get into full-time ACC play. Even when Atsur comes back, that's only a 7 man rotation going full-time. With the next two games with Savannah St. and Mt. Saint Mary's, hopefully we can use our bench players to get some playing time and build some confidence so our starters can get a little rest. Otherwise we'll be using the Pete Gillen approach of time-outs just to keep the game close and praying that our starters don't foul out.

On the plus note, I do applaud this team's effort so far. We got a good home win over Michigan (who beat Wofford by 34 btw) and our only losses so far have been on the road. If we get to the NITs this year, then I consider this season a success and will have surpassed the Herb era. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

I have no idea if this was pointed out, but during their post-game show Coach Beilien said WVU "had ONE turnover" the entire game.

Nobody's gonna win against a team giving up 1 turnover and hitting 50%+ from behind the arc.

maybe he was referring to a single half or something, I knew that sounded crazy

Still, Grant is a turnover machine, escp. at PG. Some things never change.

yea 1 the 2nd half

also we will have 8 players as of the alabama game when Trevor becomes Eligible and it will be in the Point guard shooting guard spot, a spot where we need depth BAD

well, considering he is playing 40 minutes OUT OF POSITION he is going to have more turnovers

he gets back to shooting guard / sm f he will have less TOs

hey idiot, who are we going to sub? Barto and Atsur are both hurt. Trevor cant play yet
The football walk on hasnt joined the team yet....so we DONT HAVE ANYONE.
for christ sakes, we are starting a walk on!

again, are we going to pull bodies out of the stands to sit on our bench?

really easy to beat a 6 man team

WVU must be overrated to shoot like they did with very few turnovers against 6 men
one being a walk on and only win by that point margin

well there are quite a few walk on guys who suit up and warm the bench all game

he needs to give at least one of them a shot a couple minutes a game

They are walk-ons for a reason. Do you really want Braxton out there in critical games?

Which football player is walking on? Blackman was a helluva basketball player, he could help.

ACTUALLY WVU LOST A LOT OF GUYS FROM LAST YEAR...THEY WON'T BE AS GOOD AS THEY WERE IN YEARS PAST....I'LL BE SURPRISED IF THEY MAKE THE TOURNAMENT.....

^ No doubt.

That triple OT game against Wake 2 years ago was so classic. That was the night I became a WVU fan (cept when State plays em) cause that was right after Paul jacked Jules' nuts up

Huggin's is not only a great coach, but he's also a standout guy with great character. Treats his players with the utmost respect and is without a doubt a good man.

It's going to me a tough day either rooting for my home state team or my future alma mater. Let's go Mountain-pack!

I'm tired of hearing Bob Huggins as a bad coach. He had perpetual leg injuries in high school and he just had surgery on his leg in July. He missed practice with the team for about a month and a half during the summer. He didn't have much time to prep for this season. So cut the crap with good twin bad twin. Bob will be up there with his brother soon.

NC State is holding opponents to .360 shooting this season, good for fourth in the ACC. When digging a bit further, you can see NC State is one of the better defensive teams in the country right now. The Pack stands 11th in the nation in defending 2-point field goals and 16th in the country in effective field goal percentage defense.

The rebounding and blocking numbers are fantastic. The downside is the steals are usually not in our favor.
