Loved the effort tonight even though a lot of the game was miserable to watch. Alabama did not fucking miss in the first half. We had our chances early in the 2nd but we didn't capitalize.

Ferguson looked good for his first game. Threw a few bad passes but he definately has serious potential

Trevor played like a pass-first point guard whenever he got the ball. He has a real smooth handle with very good ball control. I would have like to see him be more aggresive on offence but his D was pretty impresive.

I know that we have a bunch of problems going into ACC period, but dunking is not one of them. McCauley and fells have exceptional hands and will snag alley-oops out of knowhere. Also, fells athleticism is unreal when you watch him courtside. He will just come out of the blue and just jam the ball real aggresively. It's good to see.

our offense was dead all game. no motion no continuity. frustration lead to bad shots and dumb passes. everything was east west. all the signs of lack of a pg.

why did nieman play over furgie? i felt like the first 6 minutes of every half when nieman was in killed us. trevor kept steele in check and it slowed them down on offense. nieman should not be starting.

on the bama freethrows at the end that was the loudest i've heard rbc center. i wasnt at the stanley cup but that was pretty damn loud for all 8k people that stayed.

to the people that went home early....did you catch the end on tv?

jeez that was the longest ending ever. it was amazing though. if the contact on the costner strip was called a foul we could have been looking at a 3 pt game with 14 seconds left. would have been the greatest comeback in the history of college basketball.

nah i've been to every game this season and about 5 before that. never been to a duke or unc game there which are the only times the crowd is great


cameron gets the best students in the best seats (the ones that want it the most)

if its ever going to be good the system has to be changed. you can't just give the best seats out randomly. you have to make it general admission and the people who care the most will get there early. half of the students stroll into the sideline seats at about the 18 minute mark of every game. then they stand silently the whole game (unless we just dunked) and leave if its not a 2 possession game with 3 minutes left.

I don't know how to explain the shooting tonight. We got open looks but nothing would fall, even right under the basket.

Things that need work:

Free throws obviously
Ferguson's passes were pretty sloppy for a PG
MOVEMENT WITHOUT THE BALL (Ferguson did this better than anybody)
Aggressiveness on rebounds

Things that were good:

Pretty good D most of the time
Tenacity
Faking the funk with a nasty dunk


About the FTs though, previous to this game we were the #2 team in the ACC for FT%, so I don't know how we can get on Lowe too hard for one bad game.

If you want to hate on grant, hate on the tons of horrible threes he tried to put down, he's worse than Hodge was when it comes to trying to sink a three ball. After he made his first three in the game (with like 6 misses before it) the very next play he runs down the court and immediately puts up another three. Clank, turnover, great shot selection there Gav Herb would have benched him for that shit but given our depth we just have to live with it. That, free throws, and pretty much just giving them the ball every possession for most of the second half is what killed our chances.

alright, just got back from the game

1. the place was empty and silent, NUMEROUS open seats, even the courtside student tickets, which were supposedly gone
2. the offense looked dead, no motion; the second half was agonizing to watch
