88% so far on RottenTomatoes. That's only out of 16 critic reviews. Those that are panning it seem to be doing it from the angle of someone completely unfamiliar with the cartoons or toys.

So basically if you liked the cartoon/toys you'll love the film. If you didn't like or know of them in the first place then why the fuck would you go see the movie?

They can get Peter-mother fuckin'-Cullen to come back and do the voice of Optimus, but they can't get Megatron's old voice actor?

It is Hugo Weaver. Peter Cullen is the only original voice from the cartoon.

The guy who did Megatron's voice from 86-87 (Frank Welker) IS doing the voice of Megatron for the videogame. But Agent Smith does it for the film.

Re. The Megatron voice video. Funny how every movie follows the same formula. Bad guy kills hundreds of people getting to this one guy that has something he wants, bad guy could just kill one more person and grab whatever it is, bad guy decides to stop and talk it over instead.

I went into this expecting it to be pretty awful, but it was actually pretty damn awesome. The middle part dragged a bit, particularly with the Autobots trying to hide from Sams parents (that was just a bit stupid), and it had too much Anthony Anderson in it (am I really supposed to believe hes the greatest hacker ever? cmon now). The overall storyline was a little weak, but its not like they had much to build from with the cartoon. Otherwise I really cant complain, the action was great and the jokes were actually funny.

Hopefully for the sequel (and you know there will be one...Brier Creek added 3-4 shows tonight alone, the place was packed), if they bring in Galvatron, they bring back Leonard Nimoy to voice.

Absolutely friggin' incredible. And I agree, 1st half better than the 2nd...though the 2nd half was still pretty friggin' incredible. This movie was so much better than Spiderman 3.

WWWAAAAAYYYY Better than spiderman 3... Shit, I wanna see it again and not sit so damn close (theater was packed and sat a little lower than I normally sit) but yeah there was a lot of stuff happening on the screen to understand how they transformed.
