i don't understand why
it'll make the car even more noseheavy, and for what it surely most have cost him, he could've made the 4g63 put out more power than the chassis or driver could possible make use of.
not to mention that all that torque is gonna make it tough to ever keep any driveline parts intact.
man, i hate to sell my Evo. what a fantastic fucking machine.
by the way, how many miles do most of you guys get on a tank of gas? i've gotten 270, but usually it's about 250 (and by then, i'm on fumes...there is a visible gap between the fuel gauge needle and the "empty" line). also, i'm at 12,800 miles, and the Advans are nearly down to the wear bars. No way in hell they'll make it past 15k even if I run them until the car won't drive straight on wet pavement. 6/11/2007 8:57:17 PM |

I seem to hover at around 260 per tank getting mielage of around 23mpg.

it HAS to weigh noticeably more than a 4g63
and i know it's blown, but still...the 4g63 could've made the car RETARDED fast for way less money and trouble than he'll have in the LS1 conversion.

in rally racing its limited to a small turbo and doesn't have the awesome traction control/ stability control computer. those are the two reasons people love the car on the street.
1: the computer makes them look like awesome drivers. 2: you can crank the boost and make tons of power with just a few mods.
the fact that the subie has a better weight distribution and a lower center of gravity makes it a superior design once those two things are stripped from the evo. 6/14/2007 11:18:23 AM |

The EvoX looks very SRT-4ish to me. Anyone else notice that? Especially in black...I think it's just the muscular look of the car. Not that looking like an SRT-4 is a bad thing...as far as modded up sedans go, I think they look pretty mean.
I like the new Evo look okay, but I think it looks a lot heavier than the old one, and the light feel on the Evo 8-9 was what I always heard as a selling point over the STI. It'll be interesting to see if that holds up. 7/5/2007 9:49:58 AM |

looks fat....quarter panels are overextending over wheels way too much and flared front fenders have too many lines over them....kind of like last grand-am. wheel gap is ridiculous, they should have kept 17"s, would probably more nimble than with 18", rear end is jacked up too much, too high, something is wrong with it. rear lights are too slanted.
EVO IX was just right. fat free in terms of body panels. simple chasis design, but very attractive.
EVO IX >>> EVO X looks wise

These were so bad that all the White students had to jump out of the windows to run away from school because rioting Blacks would break into the school to vandalize it. She said she had to deal with a lot of reverse racism at the time. Honestly, I don't see how this is an explanation. Why fault an entire race because of the actions of some people? Why use this as some sort of excuse? Reverse racism? The Blacks at that time were fighting for their life and rights." |
Vandalizing property and terrorizing children is an acceptable means of fighting for one's "life and rights," so fuck all you crackers.
