Glennon and Manning would be huge if we got them at the end of the week

I hope Dwayne Allen pulls a switch-a-roo as well but i think state HAS to go to a bowl game this year for that to happen

Eddie Whitley has mixed reports a/b where he is leading at, some say state and others say VT. One thing though is even if commits to VT he seems like one of those players that we'd be recruiting and hoping to get til signing day b/c of his connections with our current recruits. The Shrine Bowl will be interesting with our recruits trying to reel in more talent

I'd lay off putting down Gastonia, we had the highest murder rate per capita in the country for seven years in a row when I was a kid, for stuff much less serious than internet bashing

If we land Whitley and Charest, do you guys think Spencer Adams follows (they all go to the same school)?

DAMN that's a stout offer list. I don't care what else is said about this kid, that's the only part I need to see. If the USC, UF, and Michigan thinks he's good enough to offer on, then I'm sold.

Not only this, but schools like USC don't even need to leave the state of California to get theirs, and neither does Florida need to leave the state, it tells me this kid is a huge pickup.

Manuel is one of the Top QB's in the country, from VA. Think he announces for FSU today, but who knows.

Exactly, which makes the fact Pete Carroll visited his school to meet with his coaches personally that much more impressive. We got a good one. Pete was selling to Barnes' coach the fact that Barnes reminded him of reggie bush and felt he could be the same type player at USC.

^ I would think Auburn too

A lot of their fans wear coats and ties to the games. Their level of douchebaggery comes close to Carolina and their program is way better.

sounds like Glennon and Manning may not commit as fast as we hoped. Hopefully if Glennon gets the offer then he will pull the trigger.

I got a good/bad feeling a/b Manning though. The good part is that we have always heard good news when it comes to Manning and have seemed to be his leader the whole time.

The bad news is that every day he goes uncommited gives another team a chance to sneak in there. This may just be a patience thing but the way i feel is if he doesn't commit by the weekend its going to be a LONG battle to get him especially with him taking trips to other schools. The only thing a/b Manning is we KNOW we are the leader and it will make it that much worse if we lose him to someone.

Lets just hope these two come to the Pack especially Manning b/c he is a must get for our program

^supposedly he was amped up about his visit for camp and after the 7 on 7's at Harnett Central, he wanted to come and commit, but his coach advised him to go home and think about it to make sure he wasn't making a rash decision that he would later back out on just because he was so amped up after the visit.

The truth of the whole matter is that manning planned on announcing end of july/beg of august anyways.....so lets just wait it out. With both he and glennon, news could come tomorrow, or it could come weeks from now.....thats the fun of recruiting

gg Red Tom . If we land 2/3 of these guys then I wouldnt say he is doing a worse job of recruiting compared to Amato at all.... and that was Chuck's M.O.

what one person mentioned on one of the state sites is that Manning might want a little spot light with a press conference. In a recent article he said all teams were even when we know thats not true. That guy said Barnes prolly stole a lot of his thunder so now he can plan a press conference and get a lot of buzz from it.

Thats just wishful thinking anyways

Glennon to NC STATE!

http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/655219.html

Quote :
""I committed to NC State about an hour ago," said Glennon. "They offered me the scholarship last night and I wanted to tell the other colleges of my decision."

In his junior season in 2006, Glennon completed 123 of 205 passes for 1,662 yards with 18 touchdowns to only five interceptions. Westfield went 11-1 on the season, falling in the regional championship game.

Glennon chose NC State over offers from Michigan, Florida State, Miami, Virginia, and Virginia Tech among others. "

expect Glennon to move up the boards when Scout.com gets his film. He's the #5 Pro Style QB and a 4* on rivals but somethin like the #16 QB and 3* on Scout. The reason for that is because he didn't go to any Scout combines nor have they seen his film yet. Once they see his film, he should jump into atleast the top 10 and a 4*. This kid was/is invited to the Elite 11 QB Camp afterall....

and about Earl Wolff.....that kid is stout. You should see the pictures of him over on scout....his legs are like tree trunks. He's 6'0 190 right now....his upper body could prolly hold another 10 lbs....he should be 6'0 200 atleast by the time he starts playin. He's got some of the thickest legs i've ever seen on a HS recruit.
