Either it was her car, or he went to the same school as her, or both. It had the conquistadors bumper sticker from her school on it.

The love stories made me want to vomit..though I know its kinda necessary in Claire's case and will make things very interesting.

and I think Mohinder is gay.

Was I the only one that was thinking of some love scene in smallville with him flying around with Claire?

I do hope they get over this quickly...but obviously with him having a grudge against her dad, he's going to be around for a while

And you would think that they would have picked a hotter chick to have Peter hooking up with instead of someone that was run over by a lawnmower

oh and question b/c I got a little distracted--did anyone get the impression when Mohinder's boss got a phone call and left the room that he was getting the call regarding Candace? or something unrelated perhaps?

Maybe he already knows and is working at the behest of the company...

Easier to get claire if she hates her dad.

^^^ nah, he got shot, pulled out linderman's brain, then collapsed

so theories on why sylar can't use ability? is it really as simple as him being infected by the virus?

i didn't think he had the virus but was just severly injured by the sword stab at the end of the first season.

One thing I just thought about last night... Peter now has some kind of electricity powers, but none of the heroes that we know of in Season 1 had any powers like that for him to absorb. So wherever he was for the past few months, he has obviously picked up this electricity power. I wonder how many more powers he has picked up that we don't know about yet.

^^ Actually the exploding man (his name escapes me now) did use an EMP-esque power while he Parkman and Bennett were escaping the facility last season. So I think the precedent is there, its just a different form of the nuke I guess

^ Theodore 'Ted' Sprague.

If Sylar has the virus and that is keeping him from using his powers, thats fine. It wouldn't surprise me if 'the company' has found a way to inhibit abilities, or maybe someone with powers similar to The Haitian?

Insert a "Can you read my mind?" monologue/music sequence and we have a winner. When I watched this I figured the writers were on autopilot. Basically, get from situation A to situation B with minimal effort.

just got around to watching last night's episode. The flying scene was bleh and over done. Should have just had him picking her up and then cutting to the beach. Thought him remembering her dad was pretty obvious but wondered how he didn't notice her dad on the first day of school. Maybe he did and thats why he was all over her from the start. Also, I have to wonder if Sylar really understood how Candace's power works. He seemed to be trying to transport himself or alter his own reality when her power affects other's perceptions of their reality.

he always seems to know exactly how powers work, so i don't think thats it. he's just ineffective right now. that flying kid was planted at that school, i'm almost certain. peter needs to continue being badass and not such a faggot (i'm hoping he gets badass enough to have a cool showdown with boogeyman, which would make up for the letdown of his battle with sylar).

oh and that painting of bennett dying doesn't really mean much now, because we've already seen that isaac's paintings can be altered (the bomb)

If they show peter petrelli with his shirt off for three fucking episodes, it's only fair to show that mexican chick with her shirt off for the same time.

true, but he's always seen them using their powers. Candice's power distorts another person's perception of what is going on so he may not have seen or understood what was going on. Also read an interesting idea that kind of made sense after I thought about it, that the whole thing is an illusion and he didn't really kill her.

If none of it is really happening, or only happening in Sylar's mind it could explain why he can't use his power: the objects he's trying to move aren't really there. Also, a few things seemed odd about the set up. He was supposedly just waking up and recovering from 8 surgeries, but there were no doctors around, no medical supplies, nothing, just him and Candace in a shack. The last time he was captured, he was put in a special cell with the Hatian watching over him. Why would they suddenly put him in the middle of nowhere with no apparent restraints? Also, and I could be wrong about this, but the cell phone she was using on the beach seemed to be a normal cell phone and not something you'd use out in the middle of nowhere.

Don't know if I believe the theory, but i can see how it could fit within the context of the story so far.

i mean yeah, it is pretty fishy that the company would just leave candace with sylar completely unprotected and expect him to buy the "lets work together" line. there's no way they would abandon an asset like her

True, Molly lost her power when she had the virus, so it is a good explaination for the loss of powers, but the rest still seems a bit off. Also, Sylar seemed pretty active compared to the others we've seen with the virus thus far, especially when you consider that he was stabbed with a sword.

So either it's early stages (the others we've seen have been near death) or the company has synthesized something to block powers by using the virus.

So is this show complete poop this season or what? I have none of the same anticipation and excitement episode to episode that I had last season. It's almost like they are trying to make the whole "humans having powers" thing seem neat and mysterious again for people who are just starting to watch this season, but it's completely gay for the rest of us. I'll keep watching, but I hope it picks up soon.

Well if you remember when we first met Molly in season 1 she had the virus but she didn't really seem that sick. She was just confined to that room and coloring and rather calm, but not necessarily lethargic.

I keep wondering how this "godsend" sign is going to tie in...personally I have a theory that all of our present day heroes are one some level related to the original Hero, Takezo Kinsei, and that the symbol is just a visual cue that binds them all together.

^^ i think it's going good. they have to spend a while laying the groundwork for the season. Soon the stories will start to converge again and there will be more conflicts and stuff

I think Sylar is either afflicted with a modified version of the virus or the whole experience was an illusion. If it's the virus, I think either the my-name-is-my-passport guy from Sneakers or another company man mentioned the ability to "cure" the powers, which I think they were going to use on Niki. This, along with the research Mohinder is doing would all be consistent.

At first though, I thought it was an illusion, explaining why Sylar couldn't move the mug. But, Candace's rant about helping Sylar get back his powers and how together they would rule the world or whatever sounded a little too nutty to be a ruse - it sort of fits in with the Candace character established in the graphic novels. I'm thinking she was off the company payroll by this time. I'm also inclined to believe that even in an illusion, she wouldn't willingly show her real form (fat dead body). When niki knocked her out last season, she still remained the hot Candace, so I suppose when dead, all illusions are dropped.

I fail to see how you can be disappointed with this season so far. I'm so excited for every episode and I can't wait to see how everything plays out. I think I'm even MORE excited this season than last.

like the only things I haven't liked about this season are the Nissan Rogue... and the flying thing really was pretty lame. He could've just showed Claire that he could fly rather than "Smallville style" it.

I even like Hiro more this season. He kind of got on my nerves but now I'm actually interested in his storyline.

Just for shits and giggles I wanna see who everyone thinks either the boogyman is (the man who molly keeps seeing in her dreams) or the man who "killed" kaito and attacked Angela Patrelli.... I say "killed" Kaito because I dont believe he's really dead, but still I'd just like to get some feedback on who ya'll speculate these people are...

I have a sneaking suspicion that its Simone's Father..I don't think he really died, and looking back on season 1 it looks like he can kinda manifest himself in people's dreams/subconcious which would explain why he can "see" Molly when she looks at him....

Then again I'm probably wrong 'cause its early and I'm at work...

Though now that I think about it he kind of seemed like one of the "good guys"...maybe Peter and Nathan's dad...I just have a feeling its a character that's been mentioned or that we've seen before and just never was developed...

it would make sense that it's takashai or whatever his name is

if he can regenerate, then he could perhaps live forever...plus, he is splashing his symbol around everywhere on people he's killing

might be too obvious, but i think i've only seen it mentioned once in here
