Page 5

What was with Michael making all the short jokes to Angela?

It seemed over the top and out of nowhere.

And Andy singing the A Capella to Angela was so fucking cute.

It was a good episode, but I wouldn't go as far as labeling it "very funny"

They seem to be having a bit of a mental hangup with the hour-long format. It seemed like it was just two different plot lines stuck one after the other... the first part being mainly "Dwight v. Computer" (which was one of the funniest things I've watched in a while), and the second part being "Michael Gets Pissed at the New York Branch and Decides To Make His Own Party and Kidnaps the Pizza Guy" (which was funny, kind of, but not up to par with the Office that I'm used to).

Basically, they should either make two different 30-minute episodes and play them back-to-back, or just go back to the regular 30-minute format.

If that is one of the funniest things you have watched in awhile, you obviously do not watch much TV!

I don't understand why you (and people in general) have to constantly trash people's opinions or repeatedly flame a thread. We get it - you don't find the Office funny. There are only so many ways you can say it and you've used them all up a few times already.

That said - your opinion is wrong, the Office has been hilarious.

haha, see, thats where you have me wrong. I LOVE The Office, It is one of my favorite shows. I only said I would not consider this past episode "VERY FUNNY" as someone said. For the love of god, can some of you fucks just shut the hell up and realize just because someone doesnt like an episode, or says that one minor detail or single episode is bad does not mean they hate the ENTIRE SHOW. Don't jump to conlclusions.

^^^dude, how about you chill the fuck out? Some people think the shows are funny as hell, some don't. Big fucking deal.

As for me, i've been entertained every time i watch a show of "The Office" so I am happy. This is the first time i've read through this thread, and it will be the last. I came here for discussion about the show, not people pissing and moaning over who liked it and who didnt. Fuck....grow the hell up people

nice, that was a great episode.
they're back to hitting on all cylinders for the first time this season, I think. Biggest difference is that Michael and Dwight are back to being their normal, eccentric selves, but not over the top or unbelievable.

I also look forward to going back to 30 minute episodes. Even this episode felt like 2 distinct 30 minute shows, with only a couple minor cross-overs. I think it just works better to find one major and one or two minor storylines and work with those in 30 minutes.

hahaha, ok, i said i wouldnt read this again, but the episode tonight was great.

Mose running beside the car, Mose throwing the shit at dwight, the "whoever/whomever" thing was great. Lots of good stuff.

Don't like the sappy dwight though. But i can live with it for the story line....still great tonight

I'm wondering where they're gonna go next with Jim/Pam though. The kiss at the end was big.....and the "Yeah...i think im in love with italian food" comment was big.

Where? Married with kids? I thought they were shifting the relationships focus over to Dwight/Angela/Andy anyway. The Jim/Pam thing is pretty much over - regardless of whether they stay together or eventually break up. The tension between those two existed because they were never given a shot at it - now that they've had the opportunity it doesn't seem to matter one way or the other.

I read somewhere that they are going to bring Karen back for a bit to keep JAM interesting.

and I loved this comment: "As of this morning, Schrute farm is completely wireless. But as soon as I find out where Mose hid the wires, we'll get that power on."

but you're right - i'll take Pam any day over Jan. No make up, made up for the red carpet, rolling out of bed (), whatever

Just hang on a damn minute here.

I'm talking about Pam and Jan on The Office, not Jenna and Melora IRL.

There is a difference.

they're on TV. everyone has makeup. even dwight.

that being said, they've noticably changed pam's makeup and wardrobe, but since it was a gradual thing nobody really realized it.

Pam, Season 2

Pam, Season 4

ummm, that's not true. yes, they made some gradual changes from the beginning of season 1 through the end of season 3. but even in the promos for Season 4, they made a point of Pam saying stuff like "i told Jim that I'd 'let my hair down', and I did!"
In this season, they (the writers) and Pam (the character) have made considerable and intentionally noticeable changes to Pam's appearance. The point is, she's much happier, freer, more comfortable with Jim now, where as with Roy she was run-down and depressed.

either way.....
Pam > Jan
Jenna > Melora

Are you kidding? Look at Pam. Look at her personality.

She still has that depressed, confident lacking persona, and generally looks drab.

Jan, on the other hand, seems like an older woman that would romp in the bed, and looks like she takes the time to clean herself up a bit.

Pam is uninspiring, sorry.

^Yeah, that would be part of why Pam > Jan. Jan has like 10 years on her.

And look at Jan. She's that lazy, stay at home and eat bon bons, spend all your money and beyond, smoker, etc., etc. kind of woman.

yeah that's a load of bull. Jan has been in a downward spiral ever since she lost her job and now all she does is drink and putter around doing nothing worth anything and if anything looks worse than in the past...

well most of that had to do with her relationship with michael and michael being a total dumbass and messing things up for her and his branch, and now what, she's unemployed and living with him, that's a turn for the worse

have you even seen any of this season? I mean, i don't think Pam would ever be confused with a go-getter, but still, the difference from last year to this year is large. I would say she still "dresses down" (a plus, in my book), but is definitely not drab anymore, which she most definitely was for the first 2.5 years. And her personality is certainly happier and more perky. Sure, still maybe she's timid, but that's just part of the personality.
