Nah, I graduated in December and my job doesn't start until June, so I've just been sitting on my ass. I'm traveling through Europe in the second half of May before my job starts. No England on this trip, though; originally I was planning to just do the UK and was going to go to an Arsenal match through the American supporter's club, but it was really just too late to plan it and get the tickets. I've checked all the countries I'm going to be in and determined that I can either try to go to Bayern Munich's finale against Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena, or RCD Espanyol's finale against UD Almeria in Barcelona.

How would you get tickets? I always knew that tickets were impossible to get over there, but didn't realize just how ridiculous it was until I started trying to plan to go to a game. At Arsenal you can't even get in without a club or supporter's club membership. I was pretty naive when I originally decided to go over there; seeing a game at Wembley is on my "must do" list, so I thought "hey, I'll look into going to the FA Cup Final. I'm sure it will be expensive, but surely I can find a way to get a ticket". Turns out that unless you have been a season ticket holder of a club involved for like 30 years or you have a spare $4,000 lying around, that's not happening. 2/20/2008 1:28:58 PM |

Arsenal already lost Kolo Toure 5 minutes in. A hard shot hit him in the knee; Senderos subbed in. 2/20/2008 2:53:35 PM |

Game is a little sloppy thus far. Arsenal has had a bit of success with the long ball. Adebayor just had a weak header which was saved by the keeper. Milan came out looking stronger, but now Arsenal is taking over the possession and momentum. 2/20/2008 2:55:49 PM |

Milan is working to reestablish possession a bit. It is currently 54% Arsenal - 46% AC Milan. Up til a few minutes ago, it was much more lopsided. 2/20/2008 3:02:15 PM |

Milan is getting beaten in the midfield on both sides of the ball. Arsenal continues to feed long balls to Adebayor. Corner kick Arsenal. 2/20/2008 3:06:08 PM |

The long balls to Adebayor continue. Milan has the answer so far. Milan is looking a bit more threatening by getting Kaka involved in the attack. 2/20/2008 3:15:29 PM |

Arse just missed a great chance to find Fabregas wide open in front of the goal but Adebayor's pass was too much
Arsenal's wide play is killing Milan right now... Flamini/Eboue have had a couple of great runs

Adebayor puts one in but he was a mile offside. Another chance for him just now that Kalac dove onto before he could take a shot. Still 0-0 54 mins in. 2/20/2008 3:56:16 PM |

Eduardo with an awful shot, and now he is going off for Bendtner.
Bendtner lays it off for Fabregas who goes right down the middle for what was probably the best chance of the game. Great save by Kalac, but Fabregas has to bury that.

Eboue drives into the box, gets slightly bumped, goes tumbling, and gets a yellow for taking a dive.
Adebayor with another good look but drives it low right down the middle into Kalac. Now Fabregas from outside the box hooking one in; diving save by Kalac. It's been constant pressure by Arsenal for the last 30 minutes, but they just aren't taking good shots.

Arsenal opened this half like a house of fire. I was almost sure they were going to put one in. In the 83rd minute, we are still tied at 0-0. Two nice shots from Adebayor and Fabregas in the past couple minutes (both straight to the keeper). They might get a goal yet... 2/20/2008 4:25:48 PM |

pato's pace was amazing today, but the offense is general was not clicking at all...i would seriously love to see gourcuff get some run, seedorf was just plain bad today...i wish ambrosini would stop pushing forward so much...it took pirlo/kaka soooo long to get going...basically, the defense, per usual, was solid and will push milan through
ps. IMStoned420...did you see fabregas today? absolute class

I did see the game amac884. I was far from impressed. He had some decent passes as usual, but none of it mattered because the people around him who usually play better didn't do anything. I don't see how you can argue he played a good game when a team like Arsenal goes goalless at home. 2/20/2008 8:16:05 PM |

I wouldn't say he was the best player on the pitch. It's hard to say an offensive player is the best player when the game is 0-0. I'd say the best player was by far Milan's keeper. Fabregas had some wide open shots that went straight to the keeper. If he had knocked one of those in I would agree. But if the game is 0-0 a player needs to do more than just pass well to be the player of the game.

None taken. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But from what I saw, I wasn't that impressed. He set some people free on passes lesser players would not have seen, but the system wasn't clicking today and it didn't produce. He didn't directly set anyone up asides from 1 free kick that the guy completely missed the header on and the 1 pass to Adebayor where Adebayor was clearly offsides. He didn't have any impressive dribbles at the defense. His shots left a lot to be desired. The only one that was even close was only close because it took a deflection. I mean, Walcott played for like 7 minutes and had more direct effect on the game than Fabregas did. 2/20/2008 9:04:18 PM |
