I think how they end their season will impact...but I agree with that article....its ultimately a $$ question, and if Ark. legitimately wants him, they've got more financial weight in the football arena to get him

i noticed that paul johnson tidbit as well. at the time of the hire, and still today, i am very glad that we did not hire johnson. you know, b/c how i feel is relevant and all. but really.

Also, I know they ponied up for Butch Davis, but he is a big name. Would Chapel Hill really be willing to pony up the $1.5 million or so it could take to outspend Navy alums for Paul Johnson?


As for the Kenan stadium expansion to 80K, I can't possibly believe that even Butch Davis thinks this is going to happen. He just wants something to buzz about to recruits. By the time people realize it's not going to happen, he'll be long gone.

And what do "loyal" college coaches do these days? Look at TOB, he left a potential ACC champoinship program he built to go where opportunity, $$, and last-gig-before-retirement were lying. Davis has even less invested in UNC and more in Arkansas than TOB at NCSU.

Why not leave? Everyone else is doing it....

i have already told you all you need to really know until he makes his decision.

Arkansas offered, he told them he would sit on it, went to UNC...they talked, met and offered, he wants time to think about it again

3.2 mill a year plus incentives is hard to beat, and UNC wont beat it whenever Roy is still in town

Just thought it was interesting that the only thing we've heard of this is from the rumor mill, nothing from the media. It's a pretty big deal if arkansas is going to get carolinas coach, far bigger than when we were looking for a coach.
