yea he definitely has the talent. i was watchin highlights from last year's UNC game and i was like "WOW, this is really a different player"


if he hustles and picks up the intensity he'll be a great asset to the team. When he slacks, it's like having a 12 year old out there.

costner appears to be one of those players that hustles when everything goes his way...so if he were ever to start making shots consistently maybe he would start hustling....i doubt that happens though, and its sad that i think thats the only way he will

Games are won and lost on the practice court. Costner clearly hasn't been practicing nearly as hard as he needs to. If he had, he wouldn't look so slow and sloppy out on the court.

you know, i tend to agree here. he was hustling most of the night against unc, because he had a few things go his way. i tend to see him slacking off when he's missing shots or someone beats him on defense.

Costner had a decent offensive night but still struggled defensively tonight. This was still one of his better performances all year.

He was still lazing around a lot and generally looking unhappy to be on the court.

I have hated costner all season, number one he looks like an english bull dog and is probably the dumbest person in the NCAA, then he doesnt rebound and never drives to the basket with authority. He sucks because he's lazy and he's lazy because he sucks

I'm not sure if it's because of JJ entering in to the equation or if he ate too many cheeseburgers during the off season, but it's a real shame that our top scorer last year has put up shitty game after shitty game this year.

He's a good player when he gives a damn. I blame 50% of Costner's shitty year on Lowe. Coaches HAVE to be able to pump the players up, and Sid fails in the category in 2007-2008.

the reason costner has been so shitty this year is pretty simple: he screwed his knee up this summer, didn't work out for an extended period, got fatter, got slower, got shitty. End of story.

Hopefully he realizes the importance of conditioning, works his ass off in the offseason, and returns to form next season. not counting on it though.

He didn't seem to have a problem pumping Costner up last year.

Lowe isn't the problem. Costner isn't in shape, and hasn't been all year.

Plus you conveniently fail to mention that using those stats, Costner is the next to worst player in the league defensively and overall.
